ForeverLayers 1.2.1
What's new
ForeverLayers 1.2.1
Changes since 1.2.0:
- Added background presence updates every 60–90 seconds while connected and client conditions permit. Participants without fresh NPC observations can appear without being offered as suitable helpers.
- Improved channel reconnection and shared message scheduling. Searches collect current-zone updates for up to 40 seconds; AutoLayer fallback waits for the ForeverLayers search to finish.
- Limited participant storage, duplicate tracking and announcement processing to reduce work during busy periods and message bursts. Lists indicate when received results are partial.
- Added checks for expired requests at replies, approvals, group changes and message sending. Late responses cannot restart an expired operation.
- Improved player-list refreshes, counts and filters. Message age and NPC observation age are shown separately, and another player cannot replace the row under a pending click.
- Added three basic connection checks with automatic addressed replies, plus advanced timer-based sending and a temporary performance sample. Reports distinguish API acceptance, self echo and a confirmed reply from another client.
Fully close and restart WoW after updating. For regular background presence and the new connection checks, update both participants to the latest version. Ordinary addon communication remains compatible with older versions, which may not answer the new checks.
Layer identification remains experimental, and joining a group does not guarantee a transfer. Live delivery and transfer behavior have not yet been verified in paired testing; a successful API call or self echo is not proof of remote delivery.
