Forever Guild Bank

keep track of your guild bank

# Forever Guild Bank

**Know what's in your guild bank, where it came from, and who got what.**

Forever Guild Bank keeps a complete history of your guild bank, tracks the mats your raid collector brings home, and gives raiders a simple way to request items. Officers can fill requests in a few clicks. It is built for WoW Forever.

Everyone in the guild should install it. The addon shares its data between guild members over a hidden addon channel, so the more people run it, the more complete and up to date everyone's data is.

---

## Why?

- Blizzard's guild bank log only keeps the **last 25 entries per tab**, and older history is lost.
- Raid mats pass through many hands, and it's hard to tell whether everything actually reached the bank.
- Requests made through whispers and Discord get forgotten, and nobody can tell if one player got 10 items while others got none.

---

## Features

### Guild bank snapshot
- Whenever anyone with the addon opens the guild bank, every tab they can see is scanned and shared with the guild.
- See the full bank contents and gold from anywhere, without visiting a banker.
- **Item tooltips** show how many of an item are in the guild bank and how many are requested, e.g. *"Guild bank: 120 (requested: 40 by 3)"*.

### Complete bank history
- Every deposit, withdrawal, move and gold transaction is saved the moment someone with the addon opens the bank. While the bank is open, the log is re-read a few seconds after every change.
- Copies saved by different guild members are merged **without duplicates**, even when someone deposits the same stack many times in a row.
- Browse the history by item, player or type in the **Log** tab, with separate views for Items, Gold and Deliveries.

### Raid loot tracking (for your mat collector)
- Tick *"I'm a mat collector"* and everything you pick up inside a raid is recorded with time, raid and boss.
- The **Raid Loot** tab compares what was looted with what you **deposited into the guild bank afterwards**, so missing items stand out right away.

### Item requests
- Raiders request items straight from the bank list, or by shift-clicking any item, and can add a quantity and a note (*"10x Rugged Leather for Leatherworking"*).
- **Works when officers are offline.** Requests travel with any guild member running the addon and reach officers when they log in.
- Each request shows:
  - how many are in the bank,
  - who else is asking for the same item,
  - how many items the requester received in the **last 30 days**, so things stay fair.
- Requesters get a chat message when their request is sent ("check your mail!") or declined.

### Officer tools
- Officers get a summary of open requests when they log in, and a chat alert for new ones.
- **Claim** a request so other officers know you're handling it.
- At the guild bank, **Pull** withdraws exactly the amount the request still needs into your bags. It splits stacks if needed and respects withdrawal limits.
- At a mailbox, **Mail** fills in the recipient, subject and note and attaches exactly the right items. You just press Send.
- When the mail goes out, the request is marked done automatically, recording **who sent what, to whom and when**.
- Handing items over by trade? Use *"Mark as handed over"*. You can also decline a request with a reason, or reopen it.
- Shortcut buttons appear next to the guild bank and mailbox windows.

### Spreadsheet export
Copy any dataset and paste it into **Google Sheets or Excel**. Every value lands in its own column:
- Bank inventory (with gold)
- Bank log: items and gold
- Requests
- Deliveries (who got what)
- Player summary (items received in the last 30 days and all time)
- Raid loot
- Raid loot vs. deposits

Keep one sheet per dataset and paste over it to update; formulas on your other sheets keep working.

## Getting started

1. Install the addon, and ask your guild to install it too.
2. Open the guild bank once. The first scan fills in the snapshot and log for everyone.
3. Type **/fgb** or click the minimap button.

## Commands

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/fgb` | Open or close the window |
| `/fgb requests` | Open the Requests tab |
| `/fgb export` | Open the Export tab |
| `/fgb sync` | Sync with other addon users now |
| `/fgb collector` | Turn raid loot tracking on or off |
| `/fgb peers` | List guild members running the addon |

**Minimap button:** left-click opens the window, right-click opens requests.

## Settings
- **Officer ranks:** by default the Guild Master and the first officer rank can handle requests. The Guild Master can change this in Settings, and the change applies to the whole guild.
- Minimap button, chat notifications and collector mode are per player.

---

## Good to know
- **Sync needs overlap.** Data moves when two addon users are online at the same time. You don't need to be online with an officer; anyone running the addon passes requests along.
- **Nothing is sent inside dungeons or raids.** WoW restricts addon chat there, so updates are queued and sent when you leave.
- **Times in the bank log are accurate to the hour**, because Blizzard only reports "x hours ago".
- **Addons can't read or write files**, so spreadsheet transfer is copy and paste.
- **Your guild bank stays protected.** Only officers can complete requests, and Blizzard's own rank permissions still control who can withdraw.

---

## Planned
- Import from spreadsheets (priority lists, per-item limits)
- Guild profession tracking: who can craft what from the mats in the bank
- Including raid drops (e.g. from Gargul) in the fairness counter

## Feedback & bugs
This is an early release. If something doesn't work, please leave a comment with the error text (BugSack/BugGrabber makes this easy) and a short description of what you were doing.
