Forever GuideMate is a free, open-source questing guide for World of Warcraft: Forever. It reads your quest log and shows your next step in a compact tracker, with navigation to help you reach your destination.
No extra addon is required. Blizzard Map Pins is the default navigation provider. Prefer TomTom? Install it and select it in GuideMate’s Navigation settings.
Enable Show in-world destination marker under Navigation to display Blizzard’s destination marker and distance.
Alpha release: GuideMate is actively developed and may receive multiple updates daily. Guide coverage and navigation are still being refined. Feedback and bug reports are welcome!
Guide types:
- Class Quests for all nine playable classes.
- Dungeon Quests for dungeon quest chains.
- Leveling Quests for starter guides and the Alliance and Horde 1–60 Casual Routes.
- Loremaster zone-completion guides, currently Durotar and Mulgore.
- Raid Quests for raid quests and attunements.
- Miscellaneous guides, including a library books guide.
FAQ
How is GuideMate different from other "follow the arrow" addons?
GuideMate doesn't try to hold your hand through every step. It gives you a good quest order and lets you play the game. You can use Blizzard's built-in navigation or optionally use TomTom.
Why use GuideMate instead of a speed or paid guide?
GuideMate is 100% free and open source. The routes are made for casual, efficient leveling, not racing to the level cap as quickly as possible.
Can I start a guide if I've already been questing?
Yes. GuideMate checks your quest progress and skips completed steps when possible.
Is GuideMate a speed-leveling addon?
No. The goal is a good, easy-to-follow leveling route without unnecessary travel, not maximum XP per hour.
Reporting a problem
For marker display, settings, navigation, or auto-quest behavior, report the issue on Forever GuideMate’s issue tracker. Include the quest ID, zone, and what you expected to happen.
