ElmoSpellTracker

Automatically learn your used abilities with real cooldowns and display them in a compact horizontal bar. Supports WoW Classic Era 1.15.9 and Forever 1.60.1; continues ClassicSpellsTracker/ClassicCooldownTracker.

How it works

• Successfully use an ability with its own cooldown for the first time: its icon is added to the bar.
• New abilities appear to the right, in first-use order. Reusing one does not add a duplicate. Different ranks share one icon using the most recently used rank.
• A cooling-down ability is grey, with the remaining time in the centre. Its original colour returns when ready, provided you have enough resources.
• Icons also stay grey when mana, energy or rage is insufficient, using the client's spell usability result.
• The bar starts with 10 slots. Set any whole-number capacity from 1 to 12.
• A full bar does not replace your earlier skills. Increase capacity or remove an icon, then use the new ability again.
• The global cooldown alone does not add an ability or grey an otherwise ready tracked icon.
• Charge-based abilities stay coloured while a usable charge remains. Unreadable cooldowns display ?, without inventing a timer.
• Position, capacity, lock state and the ordered ability list are saved per character. Timers are read from WoW rather than saved between sessions.

Player abilities are tracked, including eligible racial/profession abilities. Pet casts, other-player casts, failed casts, passive spells and auto-attacks are excluded. Private spell IDs cannot be learned while the client hides them.

Controls

• /elmospelltracker, /est or /cst: settings.
• /cst max 10: choose 1-12 slots.
• /cst lock / /cst unlock: hide/show the drag handle.
• /cst remove 3: remove the third tracked ability.
• /cst reset: clear the list; abilities are learned again when used.

Drag the small handle on the left to move the bar. Right-click an icon for settings; Shift-right-click while unlocked removes it. Hover an icon for its native spell tooltip. The empty unlocked bar shows only its anchor.

The bar displays information; clicking its icons does not cast spells.

Install

Choose classic (Interface 11509) or forever (Interface 16001). Extract ElmoSpellTracker into the matching client's Interface/AddOns directory and restart WoW. Disable the earlier tracker interface if installed. English interface; no external libraries required.
