Dynamic Crosshair

Dynamic Crosshair is a lightweight, modern, and highly customizable targeting reticle designed for controller players and action combat in World of Warcraft.

It anchors a responsive crosshair to the center of your screen that dynamically changes color based on your distance (melee, ranged, or out-of-range) from your active target or soft-target.

• Soft-Target Integration: Works seamlessly with World of Warcraft's Action Combat targeting, checking range for either your hard target or active soft-target.
• Class-Specific Range Tracking: Automatically detects your character's class on startup and checks range using your class-specific spells (such as Charge for Warriors, Shadowstrike for Rogues, or Disintegrate for Evokers).
• Smart Spell Overrides: Drag and drop up to 3 spells from your spellbook directly into settings to override range detection. The addon automatically queries your spellbook to sort and prioritize these spells by their actual max ranges.
• Custom State Colors: Set custom colors for the Neutral, Melee, Ranged, and Out of Range states, as well as separate custom colors for each of the 3 spell override slots.
• Smooth Fading Transitions: Crosshair smoothly fades in and out (0.33s transition) when showing or hiding, preventing jarring visual pops.
• Idle and Mounted Hiding: Options to automatically hide the crosshair while riding a mount or after 3 seconds of camera and mouse inactivity.
• Opacity Customization: Adjust the overall transparency of the crosshair dynamically using a dedicated alpha slider.
• Camera Offset Support: Adjust the vertical Y-axis offset of the crosshair to align it with offset camera profiles like DynamicCam or ConsolePort.
• Configurable Interface: Tweak scales, gaps, line lengths, thicknesses, and offsets using sliders or direct numerical text entry.
• Pixel-Perfect Rendering: Native pixel-grid snapping ensures lines remain sharp and identical in thickness at any UI scale.
• Persistent Settings: Your preferences are saved automatically and remain intact across characters and play sessions.

How to Use

1. Install the addon and log into World of Warcraft.
2. Open the configuration window by typing /dc, /dch, or /cc in your chat box, or navigate to Options -> AddOns -> Dynamic Crosshair and click Open Configuration.
3. Left-click and drag the options window anywhere on your screen.
4. Tweak your sliders, select your visibility preferences, pick your custom colors, or drag spells into the override slots. Changes apply instantly.
5. Click Reset Defaults at any time to return to factory settings.
