Description
Auto Pets is a lightweight, modern, and highly customizable companion pet manager for World of Warcraft. It automatically handles summoning your critters based on smart triggers so you are never adventuring alone.
Configuration
Open settings by typing /ap or /autopets in chat, or navigate to Options -> AddOns -> Auto Pets and click Open Configuration.
Key Features
- Smart Triggers: Automatically summons your companion pet on login, zone changes, resurrection, or dismounting.
- Global & Character Profiles: Choose between sharing an account-wide profile or configuring character-specific preferences (perfect for class-themed companion choices).
- Stealth Integration: Dismisses your pet when entering stealth to keep you hidden, and automatically re-summons them when stealth breaks.
- Advanced Mount Controls: Options to despawn pets immediately when you mount, or keep them active and automatically re-summon them upon landing on the ground after flying.
- Druid Shape-shifting Support: Automatically integrates Druid Flight Form, Swift Flight Form, Travel Form, and Mount Form with all mounting/dismounting behaviors.
- Level & Rarity Filtering: Restrict random summons to only max-level (level 25) pets and/or filter out pets below a set rarity threshold (Poor, Common, Uncommon, Rare).
- Three Summon Modes: Toggle between summoning a random favorited pet, a random pet from your entire collection, or locking in a specific companion.
- Periodic Rotation: Swap out your companion automatically at regular intervals using a custom timer (1 to 60 minutes).
- Adjustable Delay: Custom delay slider (0.1s to 5.0s, defaulting to 0.5s) to throttle summon attempts, preventing collisions with loading screens.
- Instance Restrictions: Automatically disable pet summoning while inside Raids, Dungeons, or PvP Arenas/Battlegrounds to maintain high frame rates.
- Combat Safety: Blocks all summon actions in combat to prevent Lua script errors, safely queuing a pending summon to fire when you exit combat.
