DpsMelter is a rotation helper for World of Warcraft: Midnight (Retail 12.x), all classes and specs.
It is built on Blizzard's own rotation assistant (Assisted Combat), the only rotation source Midnight allows for addons, and adds what that assistant doesn't give you: a queue of the next spells, a clear single target / AoE mode, and a "burst now!" alert when a big pack comes in.
Clean and safe. DpsMelter uses only what Blizzard allows in Midnight. The click on the icon goes through Blizzard's own Single-Button Assistant, so it works in combat and follows the game's rules.
Features
- Next spell, big and clickable. Shows the spell to press right now, with your keybind and cooldown swipe. Click the icon (or bind a key to it) to cast it.
- 1, 2 or 3 next spells. Smaller icons show what comes after. DpsMelter learns them from how you play your spec, separately for single target and AoE, and also uses procs and cooldowns when the game shows them.
- Single target or AoE, automatically. Counts the enemies fighting you (melee specs only count enemies in melee range) and shows "AoE: N enemies" or "Single target". You can force Automatic / Single target / AoE from the menu, with
/dpsm mode, or with a keybind. - Burst alert. When you pull a big pack (5+ enemies by default, you choose 3 to 10) or a boss starts:
- a pulsing "MELT THEM! N enemies: burst now!" warning,
- a raid-warning sound and a message in the middle of the screen,
- your big cooldowns (Avatar, Combustion, Metamorphosis, Pillar of Frost, Dragonrage, Bestial Wrath...) light up on the burst bar, and you can click each one to cast it.
- Resizable: icon size from 24 to 64 pixels.
- Clean screen: hide it out of combat, hide the name, the keybind, the queue or the burst bar.
- Action bar keybinds found on the default bars, Bartender4, ElvUI, Dominos and other LibActionButton bars.
- Languages: English, Português (pt-BR) and Español. Follows the game language by default.

Key bindings: Options > Keybindings > AddOns > DpsMelter ("Cast the suggested spell" and "Switch target mode").
Tips
- Turn on enemy nameplates (V). DpsMelter uses them to count the enemies around you.
- The queue gets better as you play: give it a few pulls on each spec.
- Got a strange suggestion? Type
/dpsm debugat that moment and paste the chat lines in a comment.
Good to know
- The main suggestion comes from Blizzard's Assisted Combat, so it needs a level and spec where Blizzard's assistant is available.
- Midnight hides many combat values from addons ("secret values"). DpsMelter never breaks when that happens: it simply uses what it can see.
