DoorCam

📷 DoorCam

Your Home's Personal Security System. With Better Taste in UI.

You went out to fight dragons.

Someone went in to judge your throw pillows. 👀

DoorCam keeps track of supported visitors who stop by while you're away from home, with timestamped records, customizable notifications, and a visitor log that helps answer the important questions.

Who visited? Which house? When? And why didn't they leave a compliment about the kitchen?

That last one is between you and your guests.

✨ VERSION 4.0.1: YOUR CAMERA GOT A GLOW-UP

Rounded corners. Cleaner controls. Complete color themes. A redesigned visitor log. And a movable notification popup that understands your action bars were there first.

Everything now lives in four organized tabs: Visitor Log, Your Homes, Alerts & Sounds, and Appearance.

Behind the makeover, DoorCam also has rebuilt house verification, stronger duplicate protection, and improved visitor-report delivery.

Because looking fabulous is important. Knowing which front door belongs to you is considerably more important. 🏠

📖 YOUR VISITOR LOG. NOW WITH RECEIPTS.

DoorCam keeps an account-wide visitor history with names, realms, the home visited, and the original visit time.

The dedicated SOURCE column shows whether the accepted report came from DoorCam or DoorBell. No hovering, detective work, or suspicious guessing required. 🔍

• Find your visitors. Search by visitor, home, or addon source, and filter by unread visits or a specific home.
• Catch up at a glance. New visits are highlighted, and the minimap button displays an unread-count badge.
• Follow up. Open visit details or whisper the selected visitor directly from the log.
• Keep things tidy. Mark visits read, delete selected entries, clear the log with confirmation, or copy your records.

Choose a saved-history limit from 25 to 1,000 visits. Older entries roll off when that limit is reached.

Enough room for a quiet cottage or a home that has somehow become the guild's unofficial public library. 📚

📷 A CAMERA POPUP THAT MOVES OUT OF YOUR WAY

Visitor notifications now have their own movable popup.

Drag the title bar to put it where you like. Camera Preview and real visitor notifications share the same saved position, including after reloads and logins.

The dismissal timer pauses while you drag, so your notification will not vanish halfway across the screen like a rogue avoiding responsibilities.

Click the popup's body to open your visitor log. Adjust its display time from 3 to 15 seconds, or use Reset popup position to send it back to its original spot.

Camera Preview is a notification preview, not a live video feed. Your guests' questionable decorating opinions remain unrecorded.

🔔 YOUR ALERTS. YOUR ATTENTION SPAN.

Want a subtle heads-up? Prefer your camera to politely interrupt your dungeon-induced tunnel vision?

Choose any combination of four independently controlled notifications:

• 📷 Visitor popup: A notification you can position wherever it works best.
• 💬 Chat notice: A local message for your eyes only. No public announcements.
• 🔊 Audio alert: Choose Raid Warning, Ready Check, Quest Log, or Friend Online.
• ✨ Gentle screen-edge pulse: A soft visual cue instead of a full-screen light show.

Preview your sound or notification before committing. Previews stay local, do not broadcast messages, and do not add fake visits to your log.

Set a per-visitor, per-home cooldown to keep repeat reports under control. You can also pause your own logging and alerts without stopping DoorCam from reporting your visits to other people's homes.

Good manners go both ways. 🤝

🏠 YOUR HOUSE. NOT YOUR GUILDMATE'S HOUSE.

Living in the same neighborhood does not mean sharing a visitor log.

DoorCam checks incoming reports against your verified owned-home records using an exact house identity or an exact neighborhood-and-plot combination. A shared guild or neighborhood alone is not enough to accept a visit.

The Your Homes tab displays your available Alliance and Horde home details:

🏠 Homeowner Name - Neighborhood Name - Plot #

You'll also find verification status, a home-information refresh button, and delivery diagnostics.

No manually typed addresses. No guessing which plot is yours. No treating the entire neighborhood like one enormous, poorly organized living room.

🎨 SECURITY, BUT MAKE IT STYLISH

Choose from eight complete color themes:

House of Liberty, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas, Super Hero, and Colorblind Safe.

Cozy autumn cabin? Haunted manor? Festive cottage? Secret superhero headquarters with an unnecessarily elaborate foyer?

Your camera can dress for the occasion. 🎃

Themes coordinate backgrounds, text, buttons, fields, and toggles, with palette swatches to help you choose.

Adjust the main window scale from 75% to 125%, enjoy automatic fitting for smaller screens, and pick up where you left off with remembered window position and last-opened tab.

🤝 HOW VISITOR REPORTING WORKS

The homeowner needs DoorCam installed. Visitors need DoorCam or a compatible version of DoorBell that sends the required home information.

DoorCam focuses on visits made while you're away from your own home. Real-time notifications require you to be online and able to receive the visitor's addon report.

Offline when someone visits? DoorCam can queue undelivered reports on the visitor's side and retry later for up to three days. The visitor does not need to enter your house again just to resend a queued DoorCam report.

Delivery still depends on the sender and receiver being online together with a working addon communication route. DoorCam is not an always-online recording service, so recovery of offline visits is not guaranteed.

Delayed reports keep their original visit time and are identified as earlier visits. Yesterday's guest should not look like someone breaking in during today's breakfast. ☕

Guild update reminder: Have participating DoorCam users update to v4.0 or newer. Older DoorCam releases do not receive the new native v4 reports.

🔧 READY TO KEEP WATCH?

Type /doorcam or /dcam, or click the DoorCam minimap button.

DoorCam automatically requests your owned-home information. Check Your Homes, choose your notification preferences, and use Camera Preview to position your popup.

No character names, neighborhoods, or plot numbers to type in.
