At-a-glance item overlays for the default Blizzard bags and character frame, plus a target info line. No minimap button, no dependencies.
Bags
On every equippable item worth wearing:
- Item level in the top-left corner, colored on a Raider.IO style gradient: white at the bottom, blending through green, blue, purple and pink, then legendary orange climbing through amber and gold into hot red at the season cap. The higher, the hotter.
- Slot label dead center, localized.
- BOE tag while that copy is still unbound, or the equipment set name when the item belongs to a set.
Everything that is not wearable gear gets a color-coded type tag instead: junk (gray), quest (gold), food, flask, potion and other consumables. A bare gray tag means sell it.
Character frame
- Item level on every equipment slot, same gradient.
- Gear summary side panel docked to the right: one row per slot with a fixed secondary stat grid (versatility / haste / mastery / crit, dominant stat underlined), item level, quality-colored item name, tertiary stat tags (speed / leech / avoidance), enchant state (green tag when enchanted, red when an enchantable slot misses one; Death Knight runeforges count) and socket icons with gem tooltips.
Target info
A player summary above the target frame whenever you target a player: item level, race, class, spec and hero talent, class- and gradient-colored. Friendly players within inspect range fill the whole line; hostile players cannot be inspected (a Blizzard API rule), so they show race and class everywhere, plus their spec inside battlegrounds and arenas.
Options
Under Esc, Options, AddOns, DodoInspect:
- Language for the slot labels and tags: English, Chinese, French, Spanish. Also via slash command:
/dins en | cn | fr | es
- Four independent feature toggles: equipment slot item levels, bag overlays, side panel, target info. Already running another item level addon? Switch off the overlapping part and keep the rest.
Settings are saved per account. The item level gradient thresholds are tuned per season in Config.lua.
Notes
The color ramp is inspired by the Mythic+ score colors of Raider.IO. This addon is not affiliated with Raider.IO in any way.
