Crate Expectations - Waylaid Crate and Craftsman’s Writ Costs
- By
Hover a Waylaid Crate or a Craftsman’s Writ and see what it costs to complete: every bundle priced, the cheapest marked, crate + mats and writ + order totals, and the gold per reputation point.
Apprentice Herbs at the auction house: each of the five bundles priced in the crate’s own list, Earthroot marked as the cheapest, and crate + 10 Earthroot totalled under the AH price.
Description
Waylaid Crates and Craftsman's Writs are WoW Forever's way to earn reputation with the Azeroth Commerce Authority and Durotar Supply and Logistics. A crate takes any one bundle from its list, a writ orders one crafted item, and the auction house sells all of them. Crate Expectations does the sums in the tooltip, so you know before you buy which crate is cheap to fill and which writ is worth it.
WAYLAID CRATES
Every bundle in the crate's own list gets its price: "- 10 Silver Ore 2g 40s", "- 20 Iron Ore 1g 50s cheapest". Under the AH price you get the total for one crate, the crate plus its cheapest bundle, and when you hover a stack, the total for the whole stack.
All 30 Waylaid Crates are covered, Apprentice to Artisan: Herbs, Ore, Textiles, Curiosities, Fabrics, Ingots and Parts.
CRAFTSMAN'S WRITS
A writ's tooltip shows the item it orders and its AH price, the total for the writ plus that item, the reputation the writ pays your side (75, 125 or 200), and what each reputation point costs you. All 150 writs: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Engineering, Leatherworking and Tailoring.
PRICES
Prices are Auctionator's lowest buyout from your last scan or search, on your realm and faction, so Auctionator is required for prices: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/auctionator
- A bundle or item Auctionator has no price for shows "no price" and is left out of the cheapest pick. The total still shows, and says so when the crate or the writ itself has no price.
- Prices older than 3 days (you can change it, or switch it off) are greyed out and show their age. Scan or search the AH to refresh them.
What each crate takes, what each writ orders and the reputation it pays are read from the WoW Forever client itself, not typed by hand.
SETTINGS
