CP Cooldowns

See cooldowns and ready-to-cast status for your ConsolePort trigger layers (LT, RT, LT+RT) without holding the trigger.

# CP Cooldowns

**See every trigger layer at a glance.** With ConsolePort, your face buttons do different things when you hold LT, RT, or both, but you can only see those abilities while the trigger is held. CP Cooldowns adds a small, unobtrusive HUD that shows all of them, all the time, so you always know what's ready to cast.

## Features

- **Three compact clusters**: one each for LT, RT and LT+RT. They're laid out as a diamond that mirrors your A / B / X / Y buttons, and each button has a colored dot in its usual position.
- **Ready at a glance**: abilities that are ready show in full color. Abilities on cooldown are greyed out with a round sweep and a countdown.
- **"It's back" cue**: when a cooldown finishes, or a proc resets it early, the icon pops, flashes, and briefly glows green.
- **Can't-cast tint**: abilities you can't afford or can't use right now get a blue tint.
- **Ignores the global cooldown**: icons don't flicker every time you press a button.
- **Reacts to your triggers**: holding a trigger dims that cluster, because ConsolePort's bar is already showing it. Your attention goes to the layers you can't see.
- **Stays out of the way**: fades back when you're out of combat, and empty slots show as faint placeholders or can be hidden.
- **Tooltips on hover**: mouse over an icon to see the ability. Clicks pass through to the game world.
- **Follows your setup**: reads your actual ConsolePort bindings and updates automatically when you rebind, swap bar pages or change stance.

## Built for Midnight

CP Cooldowns uses Blizzard's new combat-safe cooldown display and only reads your bindings and bars. It never changes Blizzard or ConsolePort frames, so it won't cause taint errors in other parts of your UI.

## Requirements

- [ConsolePort](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/console-port) with a gamepad configured
- Retail World of Warcraft (Midnight, 12.x)

## Commands

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/cpcd unlock` / `/cpcd lock` | Move the HUD |
| `/cpcd scale 0.75` | Resize (0.5 to 3) |
| `/cpcd fade` | Toggle fading out of combat |
| `/cpcd held` | Toggle dimming the layer you're holding |
| `/cpcd tooltips` | Toggle hover tooltips |
| `/cpcd empty ghost` / `hide` | Show or hide empty slots |
| `/cpcd test` | Preview the animations |
| `/cpcd debug` | Print what each button is bound to (useful for bug reports) |
| `/cpcd reset` | Reset position and scale |

## Known limitations

- Assumes ConsolePort's default trigger setup (LT = Shift, RT = Ctrl). Other mappings work if you edit the layer list at the top of the Lua file.
- Charge counts and out-of-range coloring aren't shown yet.
