Map coordinates addon based on the original version by Szandos and updated for BfA
This add-on displays your current position in x,y coordinates above your mini map and on the world map. You can also view the x,y coordinate position on the world map that is under your mouse cursor. This is useful for locating items and points of interest that are mentioned with coordinates in posts on sites such as Wowhead.
Please update you addons so we can use them. All the Tomcat addons are old and need attention. Even though some may work I'd rather not have to use the option to (Load outdated Addons). Your Coordinates addon really messing with game interface much like the other addons do.
Hi uncabrian:
Regarding Coordinates, please report an issue providing some details I can work with. There is an issues link at the top of the page.
Regarding the toc version numbers, I'm working out a transition that excessive/frivolous updates may get in the way of. There would otherwise be no change to the addons other than changing the version number at the top of each .toc file to 90001. I tested all of my addons in the PTR prior to the prepatch launching and again after prepatch launched. I only had to change one line in the core addon to retain functionality.
In reply to TomCat:
If the addon works on 9.0.1 even though the version is currently set to 8.2.0 in the files, would you be so kind and bump the Curseforge version to 9.0.1?
My addon updater does not pick the addon up otherwise.
Hi C0rn3j:
I have to wait on this - the reasons are complicated. Since there have been no 9.0.1 updates to any addons currently marked 8.3.5 and older, which updates are you expecting for your addon updater to pickup? You should be able tp use the existing versions. If there is some issue for your addon updater to keep the latest available version of this addon, I'd like to know what's happening there... especially given the context of what I'm working on related to this.
In reply to TomCat:
>You should be able tp use the existing versions
Well, yes, but as it stands I have to download the addon manually instead of just letting the addon manager handle it (not using Twitch).
I have it set to download mods marked as 9.0.1, but this mod is marked as 8.2.0 newest, so it won't pick it up, even though it may actually work on 9.0.1.
I am not talking about what's set in the .toc file, I am talking about Curse tag.
Hi C0rn3j:
Well in that case, there should not be any issue unless you're intending to install my addon over and over. The next version that's released will be set for 9.0.1... or use Twitch or the Curseforge app.
In reply to TomCat:
>or use Twitch or the Curseforge app
Can't, on Linux and would rather use FOSS mod managers.
>The next version that's released will be set for 9.0.1
That works I guess, thanks!
Hi. Is there any way to input coordinates somewhere and have the addon mark or tell you the lcoation of those coordinates on the map?
Hi Tom,
While I'm sure it's not something being caused by your addon, I can't seem to find anywhere on Twitch to report this. Maybe others here are having the same issue.
I use the Twitch app to install and maintain my addons (I do use a lot of them!) Starting a few days ago, some of them were installing the classic version of the app into my retail folder, and showing that version 1.13.2 of the game was the game version. It is happening with this and with the Guild Roster Manager addon. I know of no connection between the two. If you can direct me to the proper channel of support, I would appreciate it.
What happens when I notice the incorrect version is installed, I hit "reinstall" and things are okay until the next time I check for updates. It's not telling me to update, but it does show that the "current version" is the release/retail version.
Thanks!
Hi klegault62:

Go to Twitch Apps, then Twitch Desktop App. At the bottom there is a button to contact support. I submitted a ticket there on Wednesday and am waiting for a response. You should put a ticket in as well.
Hey Tom, I seem to have a minor issue but my OCD wants it solved and I can't figure it out.
The coordinates above the minimap constantly shift between two modes and it drives me nuts.

There may be another addon also trying to put a set of coordinates in the same spot. You can find which addon by disabling them one by one until the problem goes away, and then from there what you do depends on the other addon and what options it offers for this.
In reply to TomCat:
Cheers, will take a look
Any way to disable coordinates on the world map but keep it on the mini map? I only have this addon installed.
Hey addon works but i have a small problem in classic. When i open world map, the (X,Y) near cursor and player position, changes location over and over again. It is kinda annoying. Any solution?

Hi ProtezisV2:
This looks like maybe Questie is trying to put its coordinates into the same spot. You can disable Questie's coordinates and this way you'll still be able to get coordinates on the minimap and the world map.
Nothing happened when I clicked "Install" so I clicked "Download" instead. A folder was downloaded to my computer, but nothing has changed when I open WoW. There's no coordinates...How do I get the coordinates in the game?
Hi australia18:
The best way to deal with addons is to use the Twitch App for Windows. You can get it here: https://www.twitch.tv/downloads
8.2, coordinates on minimap are blocking my UI, cant click on calendar.
Option to disable them on minimap please.
Hi Nokiya - thanks for your inquiry!
In older versions of Coordinates, there are hidden slash commands to do this. It is simply /COORDINATES MINIMAP or /COORDINATES WORLDMAP . In the most recent Coordinates (version 2.1.0) new slash commands are visible if you review the TomCat's addon control panel. (Be sure that you have the core TomCat's Tours addon installed - this is automatic if you installed via Twitch).
I did not find any issues with clicking on the calendar on my system. Perhaps there is another addon interfering with this function. Could you tell me a little bit more about your setup? I would like to check if there is something else I should be doing for maximum compatibility.
Thanks!
