Unit frames for World of Warcraft: Midnight (12.1) with rounded capsule bars and an optional Epic theme: an ornate frame in the style of your character's race.
Requires ClearCore (installed automatically by the CurseForge app). Open the settings with /cf. It does not replace Blizzard's frames: they stay underneath, so clicks, menus and the Edit Mode position keep working.
Features
- Frames for player, target, focus, target of target, focus target, pet and encounter bosses, with health (damage trail and absorb shields), resource, name, level, value and percentage.
- Epic theme for player, target and focus: ornate frame with 26 racial versions (and an automatic option), bars set into the art, class gem and insignia, resource gems and a focus frame with its own color. Capsule theme also available.
- Portrait ring colored by class or reaction (gold on bosses, pulsing red in combat) and a rank icon.
- Own cast bars for player, target, focus and bosses, with the spell icon, time and color by magic school (or class, or a standard color). The player bar is detached under your feet and movable (
/cf cast, or from the options), with adjustable size. - Own auras for target and focus: square icons with a thin border and the dispel-type ring, time and stacks, in rows that never run over the portrait. Debuffs first, buffs below, optional "only my debuffs". Blizzard's auras are hidden while this is on.
- Class resource pips (combo points, holy power, runes, shards, chi, arcane charges, essence) under the player frame.
- Color editor, profiles with automatic switching per specialization, export / import.
- English and Spanish.
Built for Midnight's secret values
Enemy health, names and cast data are secret values in combat. ClearFrames never does arithmetic on them: they go to the engine (status bars, curves, secret-safe color evaluation).
Light on any PC
- Performance mode (Automatic / Normal / Low consumption) polls less, turns off the damage trail and pulse, and uses a single row of auras in low mode.
- Events are registered per unit, auras are configured in small steps outside combat, and only the frames you enable are built.
- Typical use: about 0.5 MB of memory and around 0.01 % of one core at rest.
- No network use at all.
- Measure it yourself:
/cf perf,/cf perf watch 30.
Commands
/cf opens the options · /cf colors · /cf profile save|load|delete|list|spec · /cf export / /cf import · /cf cast (move the player cast bar) · /cf perf · /cf errors · /cf reset.
Notes
If ClearPlates is installed, its minimap button is the main one (Ctrl + click opens ClearFrames). On first load, settings used by the old all-in-one ClearPlates version are imported.
