# Butter Quest Tracker Fan Update

An unofficial, community-maintained update for WoW:Forever of [Butter Quest Tracker] by Butter Cookie Kitkat, released under the original's MIT license. This is not made, endorsed or supported by the original author, so please don't report problems with this version to them.

A clean, classic-feeling quest tracker that replaces Blizzard's default one and lets you decide exactly what it shows.

# What's new in this Fan Update

- Works on WoW Forever. Updated for the new client's modern quest API.
-- Safer startup. If the addon ever fails to start, it gives you Blizzard's default tracker back instead of leaving you with none.
- Bug fixes, including quest names containing "%" and a few crashes caused by missing data.

# Features

- Move and lock the tracker anywhere on screen
- Collapsible zone headers
- Filter quests to your current zone or subzone
- Manually track or untrack quests
- Sort by level, percent complete, recently updated, or quest proximity (needs a quest helper addon)
- Color quest names by difficulty (Options > Visual Settings > Quest Header Settings)
- Adjust font size, colors, padding and the quest name format
- Alt-click a quest for its Wowhead link, ctrl-click to link it in chat
- Right-click a quest to share or abandon it
- Type **/bqt** for settings, **/bqt status** for diagnostics

Optional quest helper addons: Questie  (used for "sort by quest proximity").

# Installing

1. Delete any old `ButterQuestTracker` folder in your AddOns folder. Your settings are kept.
2. Put the `ButterQuestTracker` folder from this download into your `Interface/AddOns` folder.
3. If the game says the addon is out of date after a patch, tick **Load out of date AddOns** on the character screen, and let me know so I can update it.
