Argent Ledger

Argent Ledger is an immersive, per-character Paladin progression journal for World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary. Swear a personal oath, perform worthy Paladin deeds, grow six permanent Virtues, fulfill sacred Trials, undertake timeless Pilgrimages, and preserve the complete journey in a living illuminated manuscript.

The Fivefold Pilgrimage

Argent Ledger 2.0 adds a permanent journey for every consecrated oath:

• Aegis — Pilgrimage of the Steadfast Watch
• Mercy — Pilgrimage of the Open Hand
• Judgment — Pilgrimage of the Righteous Measure
• Purity — Pilgrimage of the Unclouded Flame
• Sacrifice — Pilgrimage of the Last Reserve

Each oath offers two authored roads: a guaranteed solo-capable route through the open world and an optional fellowship route through three distinct instances. Your route choice is permanent for that oath, and each road contains three Stations.

A Station asks you to visit its place and fulfill a meaningful deed or eligible victory. You then choose one of the six Virtues for its Reliquary dedication. The visit leaves a permanent map stamp; the dedication preserves how your Paladin understood that moment. Across all five paths, the Reliquary holds fifteen personal choices. These dedications grant no ordinary Virtue points, and Pilgrimages have no deadline, random reward, or penalty.

Only one oath Pilgrimage chapter may be underway at a time. Completing all five unlocks the sixth journey: The Grand Pilgrimage of Five Oaths. Bear each oath again and leave one living witness through a meaningful deed or eligible non-trivial victory, then return to Shattrath City for the final closing ceremony and permanent stamp.

Canon of Great Deeds

The Illuminated Chronicle now includes a hand-curated Canon of up to fifteen memories. Select an existing Ledger passage yourself, choose its wax emblem and one of the authored dedications, and optionally add a short private marginal note.

Each Canon leaf preserves a local snapshot of the passage's original date, location, active oath, Virtue, title, and body. Bookmark one leaf for immediate access or replay it with the established Chronicle cue. Nominations highlight likely milestones, but the addon never chooses on your behalf. Canon actions grant no progression and provide no unrestricted sharing or export path.

A Living Manuscript

Choose Subtle, Illuminated, or Ceremonial manuscript density immediately from the Pilgrimage overview. Subtle preserves a faint static perimeter halo, Illuminated adds a gold breath with two traveling blooms, and Ceremonial adds richer gold, active-Oath color, and four moving sweeps around the complete frame.

All three styles are presentation preferences available from the beginning. The selected light becomes richer as Reliquary dedications and Oath Pilgrimages are completed, with restrained enrichment from the Argent Concord and Illuminator's Folio and its fullest state after the Grand Pilgrimage. The effect never attaches Seals, Laurels, quills, crests, or other ornaments to the parchment and never changes progression.

A Paladin journey beyond a checklist

• Choose among the Oaths of the Aegis, Mercy, Judgment, Purity, and Sacrifice without being locked to a specialization.
• Record meaningful healing, cleansing, resurrection, protection, Judgment, control, dangerous victories, and self-sacrificial interventions.
• Advance Compassion, Purity, Courage, Sacrifice, Justice, and Guardianship through permanent ranks.
• Complete three spellbook-aware Sacred Trials for every oath and unite all fifteen seals in the Argent Concord.
• Undertake the five oath Pilgrimages, preserve fifteen Reliquary choices, and conclude the sixth Grand Pilgrimage.
• Continue beyond consecration through five long-form Argent Testament masteries and fifteen permanent chapter inscriptions.
• Undertake repeatable Sacred Vigils, collect permanent Argent Laurels, and unlock lasting cosmetic distinctions.
• Preserve deeds, Trials, ceremonies, Charges, journeys, relic dedications, milestones, and chosen Canon memories in the Illuminated Chronicle.
• Learn the connected journey through the ten-page Keeper's Primer, shown on first deliberate opening and always available to replay.

Crusader's Charges

Crusader's Charges are optional urgent undertakings beside the active Pilgrimage chapter. Permanent acceptance requires a Paladin with automatic deed tracking enabled, the matching active consecrated oath, and an active incomplete Pilgrimage chapter for that oath.

Choose Undead or Demons, then defeat eligible non-trivial enemies you personally engage within 80 real hours. The deadline continues while offline. Reach 100 or 200 victories to conclude early or press onward toward 300. Only the highest completed threshold pays: 5, 7, or 10 points placed into one Virtue of your choice. The reward is finite for its oath, thresholds never stack, and ending below 100 carries no penalty.

Concluding or claiming a Charge does not itself advance Trials, Seals, Sacred Vigils, Laurels, Testament measure, or Illuminator's Folio eligibility. Charge history appears with the Ledger's Journeys rather than as a Sacred Vigil.

A cosmetic endgame worth earning

Consecrate each oath to earn its named permanent distinction. Ascend through four Argent Laurel ranks at 1, 5, 15, and 30 completed Sacred Vigils. Unite all fifteen seals to become Paragon of the Five Oaths, then continue into five Testament masteries and fifteen chapter inscriptions.

Master the complete Argent Testament to become Author of the Argent Testament and reveal the hidden Illuminator's Folio:

• Three sacred manuscript styles.
• Six illuminated Paladin color palettes.
• Styling for ceremonial titles or the complete Ledger, saved per character.
• With optional AetherText, the exclusive Argent Radiance floating-combat-text appearance with authored damage, critical, healing, companion, and status artwork.
• Palette synchronization between the Ledger and Argent Radiance in battle.

All distinctions and rewards are visual or narrative. They never grant combat power or alter gameplay balance.

Authored presentation

• A jewel-and-gold Paladin frame with an integrated reliquary header, illuminated rails, and parchment Laurel footer.
• Five oath crests, custom seal impressions, illuminated progress bars, manuscript dividers, ceremony panels, Chronicle pages, Pilgrimage Stations, and permanent map stamps.
• The movable Threefold Argent Sigil, showing Trial, Vigil, and Testament progress with direct page navigation.
• The native Minimap Reliquary, with draggable placement, direct Keeper's Desk and Argent Sigil shortcuts, and live oath, Standing, Seal, Laurel, Pilgrimage, Reliquary, and Charge summaries.
• Sacred Echo progression text above the player when AetherText is available.
• Five original local Sacred Soundscape cues with independent playback controls and safe previews.

Demonstration and replay controls are session-only and never grant, remove, or overwrite permanent progression. Canon adding, editing, and removal remain deliberate in-Ledger actions.

Optional integrations

• Chattynator: native Argent Ledger custom-tab routing with safe Main Chat fallback.
• AetherText: the optional combat-text companion by the same author, providing authored Sacred Echoes and the hidden Argent Radiance appearances unlocked by the Illuminator's Folio.

Both integrations are optional. Argent Ledger has no required dependency.

Preservation and privacy

Version 2.0 uses additive per-character SavedVariables schema 17. Existing Oaths, Virtues, Ledger entries, Trials, Seals, Sacred Vigils, Laurels, Crusader's Charges, Testament chapters, Folio rewards, settings, and presentation choices remain valid. The Canon and Pilgrimage data are local; no character history, free-form notes, combat records, or settings are shared.

WoW addons cannot contact CurseForge directly. The restrained Update Herald can exchange only the installed numeric three-part version with other Argent Ledger users encountered through a guild or group. No progression, character, combat, settings, free-form text, or web address is received from peers.
