AetherText v0.31.2 — Complete Class Resonance
What's new
AetherText 0.31.2 — Complete Class Resonance
This release includes all changes since the previous public release, AetherText 0.19.0.
Highlights
- Completed Class Resonance artwork for all nine Burning Crusade classes:
- Paladin — Dawn Covenant
- Shaman — Stormcairn
- Mage — Prismwake
- Druid — Verdant Cycle
- Hunter — Trailglass
- Priest — Vesper Halo
- Rogue — Nightfoil
- Warlock — Fel Nocturne
- Warrior — Iron Banner
- Added the Conservatory style browser with Aether Classic and six universal themes: Graven Nocturne, Netherglass, Vellum & Malachite, Clearwater, Emberglass, and Moonwater.
- Added class-aware preview cards and conservative routing. Events that cannot be identified confidently retain a standard presentation instead of being guessed into a class role.
- Added Triune Compass motion with protected nameplate and aura avoidance, bounded rays, lane separation, and improved combat-status placement.
- Added None, Thin, and Thick text outlines plus an independent Deep Shadow finish across authored combat text, healing, status, Sacred Echo, and Aetherflow faces.
- Added critical-height bias and independent class-emblem sizing controls.
- Added Paladin-only Dawn Focus motion, including linked melee and Seal of Righteousness presentation, deliberate Holy placement, and separate passive/reactive lanes.
- Added the Display Ceiling control in 0.31.1 to keep dense Dawn Focus bursts readable through bounded scaling, reuse, and short queuing without combining separate damage events.
Class polish
- Improved Hunter emblem duplication protection and material visibility.
- Refined Priest Vesper Halo proportions, eclipse placement, and clarity.
- Added a restrained rusted-crimson treatment specifically for Rogue Bleed damage.
- Improved Warlock Shadow, Fire, and Drain distinction.
- Expanded Paladin presentation with linked melee/Seal of Righteousness events, Reckoning burst pairing, separate Vengeance treatment, and Retribution Aura visibility and scale controls.
- Added bounded, class-specific wake motion for Mage, Druid, Hunter, Priest, and Warlock while preserving the shared trajectory and fade systems.
Reliability and usability
- Improved SavedVariables initialization and safe repair/clamping of invalid values without resetting valid preferences.
- Hardened the Sacred Echo public API so invalid, non-finite, sub-unit, oversized, and overflowed merged amounts are rejected before they can render or mutate a queued echo.
- Improved version metadata compatibility, healing command synchronization, minimap restoration, protected-frame safety, dense-burst behavior, and per-frame allocation reuse.
- Added additional Motion Studio samples for class and school treatments.
- Preserved existing Aetherflow reconciliation, independent mana channels, and the single
AetherTextDBsettings contract. - No settings reset is required.
Compatibility
- World of Warcraft Classic: Burning Crusade 2.5.6
- Interface: 20506
- No required addon dependencies
- Argent Ledger integration is optional
Important update instruction
This update contains many new and replaced texture files. After installing it, fully exit World of Warcraft to the desktop and relaunch the game once. A /reload alone may leave older textures cached.
