## v1.0.7 (2026-11)
Originally Derived from the Following addon: [Olympus](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/olympus-guild)
Based on Olympus 1.5.3 by DNL and the Olympus addon contributors (brings in 1.5.2 and 1.5.3).
Thank you, DNL.
**What changed in Olympus (1.5.1 to 1.5.3)**
*The census*
- **Your server first.** Your own server's soldiers stay the big number. A smaller total adds the
other servers that have data. Click the numbers to see each server, when it was seen, and the
estimate of real people.
- **No more blank census while it rebuilds.** The last good census stays on screen, marked
"Saved", until the new one is in. Old numbers keep their real date. A server with no data is
left out instead of shown as zero.
- **PvE and PvP never mix.** Every census report now carries its realm group and faction (a new
version 2 message). Old mixed-in numbers are set aside when you log in, not counted.
- **The PvP census keeps moving when no relay is online.** A guild's reporter sends the census as
its own text in the hidden Olympus channel, which WoW Forever delivers to everyone in it.
- **Faster startup.** The realm-group census is shared about 20 seconds after login instead of 90,
and repeats from one person count only once.
- **Saved data stays small.** The census and its witness lists are capped and trimmed.
*Verification (1.5.3)*
- Members no longer get the overdue verification popup, chat warning or Census notice. Only the
guild master is reminded. Deadlines, saved approvals and High Council follow-up are unchanged.
- Guild masters can resend a verification request without restarting the guild's deadline, with a
short wait between requests.
- Approvals heard from two places are merged instead of one replacing the other.
*Map, tooltips and menus*
- **Shared map names (new).** The King and the signed High Council can rename places on the map:
edit, preview, then publish to every Olympus player. It only changes what Olympus shows; the
game's own map is untouched. Everyone else just sees the names.
- **Player tooltips (new).** Hovering an Olympus player adds one compact line with their guild and
rank. Options: show or hide it, class colors, and tooltip size. Paused in combat and with the
gamepad UI.
- **Portrait menu.** The Olympus entries in a player's right-click menu can collapse into one
line. Your own portrait opens your profile and tooltip settings.
*The Queen*
- The Queen gets her own crimson dragon portrait frame and a head mark in chat. It is display only
and carries none of the King's authority. Party frames show the frames properly.
*Rankings, Church and the Arena*
- Opening a games or crafting ranking asks online holders for anything missing, instead of
waiting for their next round.
- Bank rankings prefer a fully priced valuation over a partial one of the same snapshot.
- Church records catch up from the other Apostles sooner, and retry another source if one goes
quiet.
- Bones: the first innkeeper lesson opens properly, and both players rolling at the same moment
no longer breaks the opening roll.
*Fixes*
- The guild recruit request opens in Olympus's own window. The game's popup was tainting the
guild window on WoW Forever.
- Asking the High Council for help only counts as sent when a whisper actually went out.
*Packaging*
- The original Olympus no longer ships Olympus Link in its download (it is optional there).
Absolute Olympus keeps it built in, so `/oly discord` still works.
**Also**
- The version letters for 1.5.2 and 1.5.3 are included.
- The new player tooltip line and the census breakdown use the Absolute orange accent.
- Guildmates on the original Olympus now see you as Olympus 1.5.3.
## v1.0.6 (2026-11)
Originally Derived from the Following addon: [Olympus](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/olympus-guild)
Based on Olympus 1.5.1 (brings in 1.4.5, 1.4.6, 1.5.0 and 1.5.1).
**Fixed**
- **Olympus chat was slow or missing on WoW Forever.** Chat lines only travelled by relay
whispers. Now, when you press Enter in the Olympus chat box, your line also goes out as your own
typed text in the hidden Olympus channel. Forever delivers typed channel text, so everyone in that
channel gets it instantly on every sub-realm. Players on another Olympus channel still get it by
relay, and each line shows only once. The channel stays hidden from your chat windows. With the
gamepad UI on, chat goes the relay way only.
- **Your chat didn't reach your own guild until a relay answered.** It now goes to your guild right
away, and the relay's copy that arrives later isn't shown twice.
- **Guilds saw different census numbers.** Each client grouped the Forever sub-realms its own way.
All sub-realms of one ruleset (all PvE, all PvP) now count as one realm, so every guild sees the
same census and the same signed lists.
- **Guilds saw different guilds online.** Each High Council relay only passed messages to the guilds
registered with it. Relays now pass every message on to each other.
- **Census reports and signed lists were dropped with about 50 guilds online.** Every routine
message (hellos, census and list requests, positions, Wanted list and verification requests) was
whispered to every guild, dozens of whispers each, and the real reports waited behind them and
fell out of the queue. Now:
- routine messages are answered by the relay and not forwarded
- each guild's reporter gets other guilds' reports at up to 4 messages a minute, and only the
newest report from a guild waits in line, so no backlog builds
- a relay sends 4 messages per tick instead of 1, about 3 a second, under the server's limit
- **Your guild's reporter changed every minute.** On Forever the channel never "heard" the reporter,
so every client benched it and elected itself in turn. One reporter now stays.
- **A new client couldn't find a relay.** A client without the Council's signed list had nobody to
ask for it. It now knows the launch author and the King as relays on its Forever ruleset.
- **"No player named ... is currently playing" spam.** That line for an offline relay or reporter
showed in your chat. It's now hidden for good.
- **A PvP character's census swallowed the PvE census.** On a PvP character the PvE census merged
into the PvP one and disappeared. Each ruleset now keeps its own, and old mixed-in reports are
removed.
- **The census page couldn't tell PvP from PvE totals.** It can again.
- **The King had no crown on Forever.** On Forever the King guild's master isn't the King, so The
Realm page crowned the wrong player. The signed King now shows with his crown whatever his rank.
- **Signed lists for several realm groups.** When the signed list file holds lists for more than one
realm group (PvE and PvP), each character now takes its own group's list.
- **Bones at the innkeeper.** The first talk closed the panel without opening the lesson, and it
took a second talk. It now opens the first time.
**Also**
- The version letters for 1.4.5 to 1.5.1 are included, with the Olympus dev's note on launch night.
- Guildmates on the original Olympus now see you as Olympus 1.5.1.
## v1.0.5 (2026-11)
Originally Derived from the Following addon: [Olympus](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/olympus-guild)
**On the official Olympus network again (brings in Olympus 1.4.1 to 1.4.4)**
- WoW Forever's live realms swallow every addon message sent on a chat channel. Olympus 1.4.3
fixed this by passing everything guild-to-guild through whispers relayed by the High Council.
Absolute Olympus now uses the same relay, so you're on the same network as everyone running the
original Olympus, not just other Absolute Olympus users.
- A guild finds a live relay right away, and the relay's whispers never show in your chat (1.4.4).
- Whispers on Forever now go to the plain "First Surname". The server refused "Name-Realm", which
broke private answers and our own sister-guild links.
- When the game refuses the hidden channel, Olympus moves to the next channel by itself (1.4.1).
- Absolute Olympus's own guild-and-whisper link (`/oly net`) stays as a last resort, used only when
no relay can be reached. `/oly net` now says when you're on the official relay.
- Other upstream fixes: the author can clear the army's key (1.4.2); the King's border shows in
any guild, and in party sub-groups; the duty letters are rewritten in a plainer tone and open in
the letter window (1.4.4); and the version letters for 1.4.1 to 1.4.4 are included.
- Guildmates on the original Olympus now see you as Olympus 1.4.4.
## v1.0.4 (2026-11)
Originally Derived from the Following addon: [Olympus](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/olympus-guild)
**Sister guild search fix (WoW Forever launch)**
- The census lists every Olympus guild again, with how many of each are online. At launch one big
guild filled every 50-player /who answer, so no other guild ever showed. Refresh now searches
narrower and narrower (single levels, then one class at a time) and searches every Olympus guild
it finds by its own name.
**Guild-to-guild communication works again**
- WoW Forever's launch client refuses addon messages on custom chat channels, so the hidden
channel Olympus used for everything shared between guilds (the census, [Olympus] chat, Wanted,
decrees, the games) carried nothing at launch, for every Olympus user.
- Absolute Olympus now sends all of it over guild chat to your own guild, and by whisper to one
Absolute Olympus user in each sister guild, who passes it on to theirs. It finds them by itself.
Nothing shows in your chat; it all rides on hidden addon messages.
- Sister guilds connect through members who run Absolute Olympus (the original can't do this).
- `/oly net` shows how you are connected and to which sister guilds.
**Chat looks like chat**
- The Olympus and Guild chat tabs show normal chat lines, `01:35 [Name]: message`, instead of
boxes. Click a name to whisper that player.
## v1.0.2 (2026-11)
Originally Derived from the Following addon: [Olympus](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/olympus-guild)
**Olympus moves into the Absolute minimap button**
- Olympus no longer has its own minimap button. It is now listed in the Absolute button on your
minimap with your other Absolute addons, and in the game's addon list.
- Click it to open Olympus, Shift-click for the Chat tab, right-click to show or hide Olympus on
the map, the same as the old button.
- `/oly minimap` now tells you where Olympus went. `/oly` still opens it.
- With the gamepad UI (where nothing can be typed) Olympus still keeps a minimap button, so you can
always open it.
## v1.0.1 (2026-11)
Originally Derived from the Following addon: [Olympus](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/olympus-guild)
**Bug reports now go to Absolute Gaming**
- `/oly bug` (and Report a bug in the help window) now tells you to copy the report and post it in
the Absolute Olympus channel on our Discord, discord.gg/a8nM6yvMQM, or email it to
support@absolutegaming.store, the same as every other Absolute addon.
- Reports are no longer sent in game to the original Olympus author's character, and his in-game
requests for your report no longer pop up. The report itself still credits the original:
based on Olympus by the Olympus addon contributors (MIT licence).
- The help window's links now list absolutegaming.store, our support email and our Discord.
- Still plays with guildmates on the original Olympus 1.4.0. Nothing about chats, census, arena
or games changed.
## v1.0.0 (2026-11)
Originally Derived from the Following addon: [Olympus](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/olympus-guild)
The first Absolute Gaming edition, made from Olympus 1.4.0. Based on Olympus by the Olympus
addon contributors (MIT licence).
**Plays with everyone on the original Olympus**
- Same chats, census, decrees, arena fights, Farkle/Bones, Lottery, Discord link and signatures as
Olympus 1.4.0. Guildmates on the original see you as an up-to-date Olympus 1.4.0 player.
- You are no longer told to "update Olympus" when the original releases a new version: Absolute
Olympus updates come from absolutegaming.store.
- All the old slash commands still work: `/oly`, `/olympus`, `/ol`, `/olc`, `/oll`, `/ola`,
`/ogarmy`, `/olysite`.
**One addon instead of four**
- Olympus, Olympus Arena, Olympus Link and the Site Aggregate export are now one addon folder,
`AbsoluteOlympus`. Nothing to enable separately, nothing to keep in step.
- The Arena screens still cost nothing until you first open the arena or one of its games.
**The Absolute look**
- Every window is navy glass with the orange accent, like the other Absolute addons: the main
window, the chat, whispers, letters, dialogs, cards and popups, the Arena window, the Farkle
table and the Lottery board.
- Every window can be dragged and resized (the grip at its bottom right corner). The Arena window,
the Farkle table and the Lottery board scale up and down instead, so their artwork stays sharp.
Sizes, scales and places are remembered; `/oly resetwindows` puts them all back.
- Parchment pages are glass panels now, with light text; the game's gold headings are orange.
- Dice, the Farkle table, honours, emblems, icons and portraits are untouched.
**Good to know**
- Do not run Absolute Olympus and the original Olympus together. If both are enabled, Absolute
Olympus switches itself off for the session and says so in chat; disable one of them.
- Your settings start fresh (the saved variables have new names: `AbsoluteOlympusDB`...). Guild
keys and the census come back from your guild within minutes of logging in.
