Werewolf Form Fix
by deadlystingnyc
WWerewolves the game generates in live mode have warped faces: twisted ears, misshapen muzzles, eyes bulging out in the wrong places. They also all come out the same muddy gray, despite the pack shipping well over 100 pelt presets that never get used unless YOU apply them in CAS. Werewolf Form Fix corrects both, so generated werewolves look the way they were always meant to.
This Is an EA Bug
The face deformation has been in the Werewolves pack since launch. The only known workaround has been to take each werewolf into CAS and remove and re-add the occult, one Sim at a time. This mod fixes it at the source so you never have to do that again.
What Was Wrong
When the game builds a werewolf form, it copies the Sim's human face structure data into the werewolf form fields instead of assigning a werewolf value. Human facial shapes then get applied to a werewolf skull, producing the deformation. This mod assigns a real werewolf face structure as the form is built, so the head comes out correct the first time.
The coat issue is separate: the game was generating all werewolves with the same grays rather than drawing from the pack's pelt preset library. Each generated wolf now gets one of the 176 preset coats, weighted toward natural browns and grays with less frequent vivid/whimsical ones.
Both fixes apply automatically going forward. Every werewolf the game generates from the moment you install this is correct when it is built. Broken werewolves already in your save can be repaired with one cheat command, described below. Premade werewolves are left exactly as EA made them. Any werewolf whose face is already correct is untouched. Children and non-werewolves (including animal species) are skipped entirely.
Fixing a Save You Have Already Played
Open the cheat console with Ctrl+Shift+C, enter testingcheats true, then use:
| Command | What It Does |
|---|---|
dsn_wff_fix_all |
Lists every wolf that would be repaired. Changes nothing. |
dsn_wff_fix_all True |
Repairs them: faces and coats. |
dsn_wff_transform Anika |
Transforms a werewolf so you can see the result. |
dsn_wff_transform Anika Toth |
Both names, when two Sims share a first name. |
dsn_wff_transform Anika Toth True |
Turns them back. |
Run dsn_wff_fix_all without True first to see what it would do. A face is
only rebuilt if it is actually wrong, so a werewolf whose head geometry is not broken is left alone. Coats are given to every generated werewolf, because unlike a face a coat cannot be judged correct or incorrect on its own.
Premade werewolves, children, and non-werewolves (including animal species) are never touched by this command.
Repairs take effect immediately, even on a werewolf standing transformed in front of you. Both the face and the pelt change on the spot.
