Walk to Sim

You click on a Sim across the room to start a conversation. Your Sim just stands there while the other Sim stops what they were doing, gets up, and walks all the way over to them. How did the other Sim know your Sim wanted to talk to them? Telepathy? No, it's just backwards and Walk to Sim fixes it.
Why You Need This
When a Sim initiates a social interaction, the game inconsistently chooses which Sim moves to get the pair close enough to chat. Many times, the target Sim will walk to the initiating Sim. It happens EVERY time if your Sim is already socializing with other Sims and their target is not in the immediate social group. It happens with player-directed interactions and autonomous ones, and it is especially noticeable when the target is far away, sitting down, or in the middle of something else. They walk (sometimes across the entire zone) while the initiating Sim just waits with their queue locked up.
How It Works
The social routing system is patched so the target Sim never routes toward the
initiating Sim. Whichever Sim initiates the interaction does the walking, whether the interaction was player-directed or came up autonomously, and whether the initiator is a played Sim or an NPC.
Requirements
- The Sims 4 — base game only, no packs required
Installation
- Download
deadlystingnyc_walk_to_sim.zip
- Drop the unzipped folder into your Mods folder:
Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/
- In-game, go to Game Options → Other and make sure Script Mods are enabled
Compatibility
- No tuning overrides. Patches Python directly, making conflicts with other
mods unlikely
