Video Station Fix — for the "no more hard drive space" bug

Video Station Fix — for the "no more hard drive space" bug

Root cause: once the station hits its limit, broken video entries (blank fragments) get stuck in its inventory. They occupy the slots and block every interaction, so the station stays "full" even after you delete what you can.

The fix

Video Station Fix finds and removes those broken video objects wherever they hide: on the lot, inside the station's own inventory, inside your Sims' inventories, and even nested as child objects.

Standard fix :

  1. Enable script mods in Game Options → Other (restart the game if you just enabled them).
  1. Load your lot, open the cheat console (Ctrl+Shift+C) and type vfix.videos. This lists every video object with its ID; broken entries are marked <<< blank fragment.
  1. Type vfix.blank and confirm. Then save, exit to Manage Worlds, and reload the lot.
  1. Click the Video Station → View Video Inventory. Upload Video and the other options should be back.

If an entry still won't respond, grab its ID from vfix.videos and run vfix.kill 0x<ID>.

Notes:

  • The mod only removes broken entries by default. It never deletes videos you can still interact with unless you run vfix.killvideos or vfix.invkill yourself.
  • If the station is still full after vfix.blank, run vfix.videos, note the IDs of the stuck entries, and delete them one by one with vfix.kill 0x<ID>.
  • Tip to avoid the bug in the first place: don't let the station sit at 8/8 videos — upload or delete a few before recording more.
