✨ Romantic Satisfaction Rebalance

💘 A tiny override mod that fixes the fast‑decaying romantic satisfaction and makes long‑term relationships feel more stable and realistic!

✨ What This Mod Does

This mod rebalances the Romantic Satisfaction system introduced with the Lovestruck EP. In the regular game, romantic satisfaction decays automatically a little too quickly meaning that many Sims couples lose their romantic fulfillment after only a short time and without any meaningful gameplay reason.

With this mod installed, Romantic Satisfaction decays much, much more slowly, making it far easier to maintain healthy long‑term relationships while still keeping the system active. Sims will still lose satisfaction very slowly over time — and through their actions — and will still need to nurture their relationship, but without the constant pressure of rapid decay. 🌸

💫 Features Two Small Tuning Tweaks

💘 Changed Decay Rate

The decay rate has been reduced to around 2.5x slower than EA's current default value (updated in September 2026). This makes Romantic Satisfaction decrease much more slowly and realistically over time, helping prevent the sudden drops that could cause long term couples to lose their romantic fulfillment for no clear reason.

💛 Softer Starting Satisfaction for Certain Traits

In the base tuning, Sims with Commitment Issues or Romantically Reserved begin at –25 Romantic Satisfaction (with –30 being the threshold for the Unsatisfied relationship mood). To make this overall system feel softer and less punishing, these traits now start at –15 instead. This keeps their personality intact while making early‑relationship satisfaction feel cozier and more balanced.

This is an override mod, which means it won't be compatible with any other mods that also override the Romantic Satisfaction system.
