Restorative Massage
Sometimes a massage should do more than leave your Sim in a good mood.
Restorative Massage adds a new massage-table option for Spa Day that gives Sims a long-lasting restorative effect designed to help them conserve their Energy and get through demanding days.
After a successful Restorative Massage, the recipient receives the Restorative moodlet for 12 Sim hours. While it is active, their Energy drains at half the normal rate.
That means more time to work, socialize, explore, or simply stay out of bed before exhaustion catches up with them.
What It Does
A successful Restorative Massage:
- Gives the recipient a 12-hour Restorative effect
- Reduces Energy decay to 0.5× normal
- Helps clear some existing Uncomfortable moodlets when the effect is applied
- Continues to provide Energy support for the full duration
- Can be used again later to refresh the restorative benefit
The massage does not refill your Sim's Energy, cure illness, restore motives, or prevent the game's normal exhaustion systems. It simply makes the Energy they already have last significantly longer.
Some discomfort is continuously generated by the game from low motives or other conditions, so those moodlets may return even while Restorative is active.
A Little More Energy Can Go a Long Way
For some Sims, Restorative Massage can simply mean an extra boost before a demanding day: getting ready to hit the gym, spending hours exploring, or preparing to climb Mt. Komorebi.
But if you are playing with my Bedridden or Tires Easily traits—or any other trait or mod that causes Energy to drain unusually quickly—that extra support can mean the difference between making it through an outing and needing to go home early.
Restorative Massage does not remove the challenge of limited Energy. It gives your Sim a little more room to work with it.
