No Death Calls

Your Sim barely knew them. They met at a party once, exchanged two words, and now your whole household is grief-stricken and your phone won't stop ringing. No Death Calls cuts the drama — no sad moodlets, no popup notifications when an NPC dies.

Why You Need This

The longer you play a save, the more NPCs accumulate in your Sims' relationship panels — and the more deaths your household apparently needs to mourn. For long-term players especially, the constant grief interruptions for distant acquaintances break immersion and clutter your Sims' emotional states in ways that are hard to manage. This mod eliminates the disruption and emotional chaos.

How It Works

When an NPC dies, the game normally applies a Sad moodlet and triggers a phone-call popup for every household Sim who had a relationship with them. This mod suppresses both.

What's preserved:

• On-lot deaths are completely unaffected — if someone in your played household dies, their housemates still grieve normally
• Relationship bit changes (widow/widower status and similar) are untouched
• Ghost trait assignment is unaffected

Requirements

• The Sims 4 — base game only, no packs required

Installation

1. Download deadlystingnyc_no_death_calls.ts4script
2. Drop it into your Mods folder: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/
3. In-game, go to Game Options → Other and make sure Script Mods are enabled

Compatibility

• Compatible with other mods that modify death tuning or relationship bits
• Patches one Python method directly — does not override any tuning files or .package resources, making conflicts unlikely
