Actor Career Styling Fix

If your actor Sims keep getting stuck in the makeup chair during gigs and never make it to hair styling, you've found the right mod. Actor Career Styling Fix patches the broken continuation that causes this and replaces it with a reliable script-driven transition that actually works. NOTE: The June 30th patch claims to fix this bug, however, the mod is safe to keep in your game if you continue to have the issue.

Why You Need This

During acting gigs, Sims are supposed to visit a makeup chair for both makeup and hair styling before heading to the performance. A bug in the vanilla continuation system locks the interaction after makeup completes, the hair styling phase never starts, and Sims eventually abandon the chair and fail to prepare for the gig entirely. It's been a known issue with no official fix (yet). This mod fixes it.

How It Works

The mod fixes the posture incompatibility which terminates the acting career makeup and hair styling event chain prematurely.

Requirements

• The Sims 4
• Get Famous EP

Installation

1. Download and unzip deadlystingnyc_actor_career_styling_fix.zip
2. Drop the unzipped folder into your Mods folder: Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods/
3. In-game, go to Game Options → Other and make sure Script Mods are enabled

⚠️ The mod folder must not be nested more than one folder deep inside your Mods folder.
