Ever since I saw this statue I knew I had to have it as a CAS item. It's the scissor hands. He's Simbot Scissorhands!
This is where the madness reaches it's peak, I think. And also it's end. Until I can rip things from the Xbox 360 DLC I can't convert any more Sims robots. But this is a nice note to end that on. I like the whole "made from junk" thing this mesh brings to the table. It's even junkier than a regular Simbot!
I had to make a lot of compromises in order to make this into a CAS item. It wasn't made to move - at all - originally so things weren't in places that make sense. Which is why there are holes in his elbows and on his back.
Things were also warped a bit to make the pose more dynamic - so I un-warped them for this. I rotated the chest and shoulder to hide a larger hole. I rotated the cans on his elbows to match the way an actual Simbot looks. Shortened the axe leg. And, oh yes. Sculpted scissor hands. The original only had flat planes and that won't work when it comes to a Sims 4 CAS item. I took the Sims 4's scissors and re-mapped them along with a few minor adjustments. I also made the extra loops myself! Which greatly added to his poly count. The smaller LODs omit them, so you don't notice.
And I think ... that's it. There are just no more Sims series robots for me to obsess over.
