Sims Medieval to Sims4 Religious Outfit Conversion

Description

Someone once requested the Peteran Priest outfit form the Sims Medieval.  I'm  going through some requests and I thought "well, I may as well do all the Jacoban and Peteran priest outfits while I'm at it.  How hard can it be?"

Turns out pretty freaking hard.  Or, at least, annoying.

So, I think this is all of them in all of their official colors.  At first I wasn't going to include shoes as part of the ensemble, but ... that wouldn't be very accurate, would it?  No it wouldn't!  After I finished almost all the outfits I went BACK and added the proper shoes in.  Fun fact: only the Jacoban Priest outfit (with the long stole) have no shoes.

The top hat proved difficult.  In the end I made two versions.  One is a straight conversion.  You'll need to use very short hair for that one.  The other is resized and works more like the Sims 4's hats.  But it looks a bit overlarge to me.

There are things about some of the meshes I'm not thrilled about, but I think they're about as good as they'll get.  Clipping issues abound!  Which bothered me until I saw similar issues in the Sims Medieval itself, so I gave up on fixing those.  Oddly only a couple of the outfits shared the same texture maps between men and women.  Even if they look alike there were differences in the textures that made them incompatible for the Jacoban Altar Necklace outfit (yeah, that's what it's called) and the Jacoban priest outfit (even if it look identical).  That's why some outfits have more swatches than others.

Well, this should go well with all those objects I converted.  Have fun making your own Jacoban or Peteran clergy!
