Last alien outfit I do.
This is something I meant to do when I first started ripping things from the Sims Freeplay. I really liked the space suit worn by the alien character Osiris Jones and I figured it'd be pretty easy to just plop a Sims4 head and hands on his baggy spacesuit.
Uh ... not so fast. Turns out his space suit isn't really baggy at all! His body is just as odd as his head, only less obviously so. So, if you ever really wondered if you can frankenmesh a Freeplay mesh with 4 and have it kinda work .... judge for yourself! Remapping the Sims4 parts to work with the Freeplay texture map was annoying. Honestly, I think I could spend a LOT of time trying to get it to work completely. At some point, however, you must walk away and call it a day. There are other fish to fry.
I don't think there's any other alien outfits in the Sims. Sims2 on console has an outfit, but the texture map came out corrupted and, besides, those textures and models aren't going to mesh well AT ALL as CAS items. Hell, they don't work as regular items either; I'm the only guy nuts enough to actually want a few things form those games.
I have to say I'm really glad I converted this outfit. Okay, the texture map is HALF the size of a normal one, but I think the outfit's great and worth the effort. Those tubes on his sides ALWAYS clip into him. I tried adjusting his arms, but it looked goofy and stupid. Gotta deal with it.
