CatQuest reads quests, books and zone lore aloud in Russian — in a voice matched to the character you are talking to.

Made for WoW Forever (Russian client, ruRU). Install it and play: no setup needed.

Features

• 🎙 Quests 1–60 — 5,095 quests, 98% of all level 1–60 quests that have text in WoW Forever, including the new Forever ones: the quest text when you accept it, the reward text when you turn it in. 9,100 texts, 55 hours of speech.
• 🧝 A voice for every character — 1,900+ NPCs speak in 150 voices chosen by race, gender and look; key heroes and creatures have voices of their own. Characters laugh, sigh and whisper where the text says so; stage directions are read by a narrator.
• 📜 Books, letters and plaques — about 1,700 pages of 687 books; letters are read in their authors' voices, the rest by Medivh as the narrator.
• 🗺 Zone lore — 938 places in 47 zones. Enter a zone or subzone and its story starts by itself; a scroll by the minimap replays it.
• 🗣 Talking head — the speaker's 3D portrait, name, progress bar and sentence-by-sentence subtitles; compact mode, scaling, drag to move.
• 📋 Queue & history — several quests in a row are read one by one; replay anything from the history or with the Read button in the quest log.
• 🔊 Plays in the game's Dialog channel — use the Dialog volume slider; keeps playing when you alt-tab.

Checked before release — not after your complaints

• Every text is compared with the original English text of WoW Forever: numbers, directions and names.
• About 780,000 stress marks are placed before synthesis, backed by a stress dictionary of 4,700 entries for the names and places of Azeroth.
• Voices are matched against each NPC's in-game model, so the right character speaks.

Good to know

• The voice-over is synthesized from the in-game texts.
• The voices are inspired by the characters; they are not recordings, voices or performances of any actor and are not presented as such. Stress on a rare name can still be off — please report it with /cq export.
• After installing or updating the packs, fully restart the game — /reload is not enough for the client to see new sound files.

• 🎙 Квесты 1–60 — 5095 квестов, 98 % всех квестов 1–60 с текстом в WoW Forever, включая новые квесты Forever: описание звучит при взятии, текст награды — при сдаче. 9100 текстов, 55 часов речи.
• 🧝 Голос под персонажа — больше 1900 NPC говорят 150 голосами, подобранными по расе, полу и облику; у героев и существ — свои голоса. Персонажи смеются, вздыхают и шепчут, где это есть в тексте; описания действий читает рассказчик.

• Около 780 000 ударений расставлено до синтеза, плюс словарь ударений на 4700 статей для имён и мест Азерота.

Важно знать

• Озвучка синтезирована по текстам из игры.
• Голоса вдохновлены образами персонажей и не являются записями, голосами или исполнением каких-либо актёров и не выдаются за них. Ударение в редком имени всё же может промахнуться — пришлите /cq export.
• После установки или обновления паков полностью перезапустите игру — /reload не хватает, чтобы клиент увидел новые звуки.
