🌍 About This World

Welcome to OG Skyblock, a survival world where you start with very limited resources and have to figure out how to make the most of every block.

You begin on a small 6×6 floating island with a single oak tree and a chest. Beyond it lies an empty void, with only one other island waiting to be reached. There are no extra rewards or custom mechanics designed to make survival easy. Your progress depends on your creativity, planning, and understanding of Minecraft.

Play at your own pace, experiment with different strategies, build farms, and discover what you can accomplish with the resources available to you.

🏝️ Your Starting Island

Your adventure begins on a tiny floating island containing:

• A single oak tree that provides four logs.

• A chest containing one lava bucket and one ice block.

These limited resources are important for getting started. Use them carefully, because losing essential materials can make your survival journey much harder.

🏜️ The Sand Island

There is another island located 64 blocks away from your starting island. Reaching it requires you to gather blocks and build a bridge across the void.

The island contains:

• 18 sand blocks.

• 9 sandstone blocks forming its base.

• 3 cactus blocks.

• A chest containing one sugar cane, 10 obsidian blocks, pumpkin seeds, and one watermelon slice.

The sand island provides additional resources, but the obsidian also opens up an important challenge: finding a way to activate a Nether portal when you cannot simply craft flint and steel using ordinary Overworld resources.

🔥 The Nether Challenge

One of the major objectives is to reach the Nether.

You already have 10 obsidian available, but activating the portal requires some creativity. You can experiment with Minecraft's fire mechanics, such as using lava near flammable blocks to spread fire to the portal frame. Lightning may also offer another approach.

The challenge is to discover a workable method using the resources and mechanics available to you. You are free to experiment and develop your own survival strategies.

For now, the Nether uses normal Minecraft Nether generation.

🌱 Build, Farm and Explore

There is no single way to develop your island. You can decide how to use your limited space and resources.

• Expand your island and build your own base.

• Create farms and renewable resource systems.

• Experiment with mob farms and other survival mechanics.

• Make efficient use of every available block.

• Work towards the resources needed for further progression.

• Complete normal Minecraft advancements as you progress.

The objective is to explore the possibilities of Minecraft survival when many ordinary resources are unavailable.

🐉 What About the End?

Currently, the world does not provide a normal route to the End through stronghold generation.

However, this may change in future updates. I may introduce an alternative way to access the End, allowing players to continue their journey beyond the Overworld and Nether.

🔮 Planned Future Updates

These are ideas I may work on in future releases:

• Additional Minecraft version files.

• A custom Skyblock-style Nether to replace the currently normal Nether.

• A possible alternative method of reaching the End.

These features are planned possibilities, not features already included in the current download.

📥 Installation Instructions

1. Download the .zip file from CurseForge.

2. Extract the ZIP file using WinRAR or your preferred extraction tool.

3. Locate the extracted world folder.

4. Place the world folder inside the saves folder of the Minecraft installation or launcher instance where you want to play.

5. Launch Minecraft and open the world from the Singleplayer menu.

Make sure you select the correct Minecraft instance. Back up your world before opening it in a different version.
