Description
Lycanites Redux Neo (1.20.1 Port)
A resource pack that reimagines Lycanites Mobs with a cube-based, vanilla-Minecraft-style aesthetic. This unofficial port adapts the original Lycanites Redux pack to Lycanites Mobs for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge, replacing mob models, equipment, blocks, and sprites with new designs that fit Minecraft's visual style.
Credits
The original pack artwork is by the Lycanites Redux team. This workspace also contains an expansion with new textures, by Otectus.

What the Port Changes
- Models live under
assets/lycanitesmobs/modelparts/(the folder structure 1.20.1 Forge loads from) - Item textures follow the 1.20.1 folder layout
- Pack format updated to 15
- Removed content the 1.20.1 mod no longer has: Manticore, Iron Hilt and Wooden Hilt equipment parts, Arthropod soulstone, old-style creature icons
- Model part files added and corrected so previously invisible pieces now render: ningen tail segments, reiver inner effect, asmodeus head, second right mouth on concapede head, second tail piece on roc, and body segment parts for concapede
Resolution
Blocks and items are 16x16 (a few 32x32 item icons); creature textures range from 128x128 up to 1024x1024, most at 128x128 or 256x256, and many are non-square sheets (for example 512x256 or 256x128) because each maps to its own custom 3D model; equipment textures are 32x32 to 128x128.
Requirements and Installation
Requires:
- Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge
- Lycanites Mobs for 1.20.1 installed
Install: Place the pack zip (with pack.mcmeta at root) into your resourcepacks folder, enable it in settings, and restart the game. A hot toggle can leave old creature textures cached in memory.
Known Notes
Some remodeled creatures intentionally omit parts the mod animates (fingers, cloaks, vines) to match the aesthetic of the original pack. In the supplied alpha JAR, Fear is a dummy registered with a NoneRenderer; its bundled fear_big OBJ is not an active resource-pack model. A resource pack cannot enable a replacement model for it.
