Description
NOISE Shaders
NOISE Shaders is an atmospheric Minecraft shader pack focused on cinematic lighting, deep shadows, reflective water, and dark, moody nights.
The shader keeps the recognizable Minecraft style while giving the world a more dramatic and slightly unsettling atmosphere. Days remain clear and playable, while nights become darker and rely more heavily on moonlight, torches, and other light sources.
Features
- Cinematic daytime and nighttime lighting
- Dynamic sun and moon shadows
- Deep ambient shadows
- Atmospheric distance fog and haze
- Reflective and transparent water
- Warm torch and emissive lighting
- Enhanced contrast and color grading
- Multiple quality presets, including Ultra
- Support for both Iris and OptiFine
Visual Style
NOISE Shaders is designed for players who want Minecraft to feel more atmospheric without completely changing its original visual identity.
During the day, the world remains natural and readable, with improved lighting, water, shadows, and depth.
At night, the environment becomes significantly darker and more mysterious. Warm lights create small illuminated areas surrounded by deep blue darkness, making villages, forests, caves, and distant landscapes feel more immersive.
The shader does not add monsters, gameplay mechanics, or screen glitch effects. Its atmosphere is created through lighting, fog, shadows, reflections, and color correction.
Compatibility
Currently tested with:
- Minecraft 26.1.2 — Iris
- Minecraft 1.16.5 — OptiFine
Other Minecraft versions may also work, but they have not been fully tested yet.
NOISE Shaders is a client-side shader pack and requires a compatible shader loader such as Iris or OptiFine.

Performance
The Ultra preset provides the highest visual quality, but it may significantly reduce performance on weaker hardware.
Use a lower quality preset if you experience low FPS, stuttering, or excessive GPU usage.
Early Alpha
This is the first public alpha release of NOISE Shaders.
Visual issues, compatibility problems, and performance inconsistencies may still occur. Future versions will improve optimization, compatibility, lighting, water, fog, and configuration options.
Feedback, screenshots, and bug reports are welcome.
