IndustrialPlanet-Shaders
A warm, readable, top-down-friendly look for Minecraft. IndustrialPlanet-Shaders gives the world a fixed afternoon sun with crisp shadows, cool blue nights, warm amber lamp pools and light from the items in your hands, all tuned to read clearly from above, like a classic factory-building game.

Requires Minecraft 26.2 and Iris Shaders (tested with Iris 1.11.4 + Sodium 0.9.2 on Fabric).
A sun that stays put
The sun hangs high in the north-west and does not move with the time of day, so every house, tree and wall casts its shadow down and to the right. Terraces, roofs and cliffs get clean, readable edges, and the layout of a base is easy to understand at a glance, especially from a high or top-down camera.

Prefer the vanilla sun path? Switch Fixed sun off in the shader settings and shadows follow the real sun again.
Warm days, golden evenings
Sunlight is warm and slightly hazy, shadows are cool, and a soft contrast curve keeps colours rich without going neon. Towards evening the light turns orange and long, and distant terrain fades into a gentle dusty haze.

Nights you can work in
Nights are dark and blue, but not pitch black. Torches, lanterns and other light sources glow as warm pools: almost white at the core, deep amber at the edge, fading faster than in vanilla, so every lamp really stands out on the map.

Light in your hands
Hold a torch, lantern, glowstone, lava bucket, glow berries or any other light source and it lights up the area around you at the same level as the placed block, dropping by one level per block like vanilla light. Works in both hands. The glowing part of the item itself (the flame, the lava, the berries) is drawn bright, while the stick, frame or bucket stays normal.

Everything else
- Water in a deep blue-teal with a soft sun glint.
- Plants and leaves lit as soft cards, so meadows and forests stay calm instead of flickering.
- Light sources, lava and magma glow on their own.
- Subtle vignette and a final colour grade to tie it all together.
Settings
Everything can be tuned in Options → Video Settings → Shader Packs → Shader Pack Settings (English and Russian translations included):
| Section |
Options |
| Light |
Fixed sun, sun strength, lamp strength, lamp falloff, night brightness, light from held items, held item glow |
| Shadows |
Shadow resolution, shadow distance, shadow softness, shadow darkness |
| Colour |
Saturation, contrast, vignette, distance haze |
Performance
The shader pack is a forward renderer with a single shadow pass, so it is fairly light. Because the fixed sun casts shadows in a direction Iris does not know about, shadow culling is turned off, which can cost some FPS on weaker GPUs. If needed, lower Shadow resolution or Shadow distance, or turn Fixed sun off.
Pairs well with
- IndustrialPlanet resource pack: industrial-style terrain, HUD, inventory and menus made for the same look.
- FactoryCraft: the top-down factory camera is where the fixed sun shines most.
Both are optional: the shaders work in any Overworld, vanilla or modded.
Known limitations
- Lighting is tuned for the Overworld; the Nether and the End can look darker than vanilla.
- Held-item glow assumes a right-handed player (main hand on the right of the screen).
