FactoryCraft

Factory automation, rebuilt inside Minecraft. Mine ore, smelt plates, automate everything, defend the factory and launch yourself off the planet.

top-down

Requires Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.5+, Fabric API 0.161.0+26.2 and Java 25.

Top-down factory view

Press F7 to switch between the factory camera and the normal view. In factory mode WASD moves relative to the screen and the cursor is free: left click builds or opens, hold right click mines. The minimap, production statistics, alerts and a Factory-style hotbar sit around the screen edges.

A new world type

Pick the Upper World world type and open the FactoryCraft tab to tune the map generator: resources, terrain, enemies and more. A live preview shows ore patches, water, cliffs and enemy bases for the current seed, and settings can be exported and imported as strings.

Build and automate

  • Transport belts, underground belts, splitters, inserters and chests with limits and filters.
  • Drag-building for belts and pipes, ghost previews and copy/paste of machine settings.
  • Mining drills, furnaces and assembling machines with real recipes and speeds.

Drag building

Fluids, with arrows

Pipes, pumps, boilers, heat exchangers and storage tanks. Machines show colored input/output arrows matching the fluid, so you can always tell which way a boiler or refinery works, and different fluids refuse to mix.

Fluid connection arrows

Power and circuits

Steam power, solar and the electric network with visible supply areas. Wire machines into the circuit network and build combinators-driven logic.

Research and crafting

Hand crafting with a queue, search and automatic intermediates. A full technology tree with science packs, and an in-game encyclopedia that shows recipes, usage, machine properties and fluid ports.

Hand crafting Technologies In-game encyclopedia

Railways

Rails on a 2×2 grid including diagonals, locomotives and wagons, stations with priorities and rich-text names ([item=iron_plate]), schedules, signals, gates and fluid wagons. Cargo wagons have per-slot filters and limits.

Trains Cargo wagon

Blueprints and orders

Copy areas with two clicks, place ghosts, use parameterised blueprints and keep a blueprint library across worlds. Mark buildings for deconstruction with a planner.

Blueprint library Deconstruction orders

Enemies, pollution and defense

Factories pollute; pollution wakes up the enemy bases, evolution grows over time. Spawners and worms can be destroyed by turrets, grenades, rockets, vehicles, guns and even by hand. Gun turrets can be given priority targets.

Turret priority

Equipment and vehicles

Modular armor and vehicle equipment grids with energy shields, plus spidertron-style walkers and drivable vehicles with seats.

Equipment grid

The planet

Factory terrain with lakes, forests, cliffs and ore patches, and a chart that reveals the world as you explore. Instead of a rocket you leave through a Nether elevator.

Terrain with cliffs

Achievements

59 achievements in a dedicated tree, from "Getting on track" to defeating a whole enemy base.

Achievements

Multiplayer

Other players show on the map with names, and remote view lets you open buildings from the map.
