The Dreadlands

Welcome to the Dreadlands. It's a beautiful place, but danger lurks around every corner. The terrain is beautiful, realistic, and complex. William Wyther's Overhauled Overworld and Biomes O' Plenty work together to create beautiful vistas, with accurately placed biomes and rivers cutting through them. No longer are the measly holes in the ground and small ravines; the underground can be seen through massive scars and maws opening up from the undersides of hills. Scattered about are various ruins, each with their own story. It's up to you to decide how to live your life in the Dreadlands modpack. 

The entire survival experience as you know it has completely changed.  There have been a ton of quality-of-life additions, such as those from Client Tweaks, and almost all aspects of Minecraft have been touched on. Along with these system changes, the world has also evolved. Realistic and dynamic terrain gives way for impression exploration, and it will be imperative to make use of both resources and structures to survive. Many new materials can be found throughout the game, and with them are many armors, tools, and weapons. Farmer's Delight, along with a ton of add-ons and compatibility mods, provides a new and interesting way to feed yourself.

 

Despite all of the drastic changes to Minecraft's core systems, the progression is very similar to Vanilla. There are no questlines, locked content, or set progression paths. Just like the regular game, the ending point is where you want it to be. Getting to the End has been made much more difficult due to the End Remastered mod, and other dimensions such as the Twilight Forest provide alternate routes to further progress. 

One of the primary focuses of the Dreadlands is to immerse you in it. There is a vast array of performance mods, featuring Rubidium, and shader support is included with the pack; this makes sure your game looks good and plays the way it should. Mods like ImmersiveFX and EnhancedVisuals help keep you grounded in the world. There are no mods that are antithetical to Minecraft's core experience, meaning there will be nothing that sticks out in a strange way. The Dreadlands is a complete and robust experience that feels fulfilling.
