Sun Wukong

Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is not typically referred to as the "son of" anyone in the traditional Chinese mythological sense. In Journey to the West, the classic novel where his character is most prominent, he is said to have been born from a magical stone that absorbed the essence of heaven and earth. After a period of gestation, the stone split open, and Sun Wukong emerged fully formed.
