This pack was originally designed to serve as a platform for Create's latest 1.14.4 release, as the previous iteration of DevCraft fell fallow as people began updating to 1.15.2. The next official (unreleased, non-public) DevCraft server & pack will contain purely experimental mods from authors associated with the project. This pack is an opportunity to share with the public the current iteration of the pack, which has become recently requested (heavily) since Vallen from Mischief of Mice started a video series featuring the server!

With this pack, you can play along in single-player or set up your own server!

Please note: DevCraft is a private, white-listed server. While this pack is public, access to the server is on an invite-only basis.

General Notes

• Serene Seasons is currently configured for an always-on server. You may need to adjust the configuration and/or remove the mod if you find it interfering. I'm unsure how "seasons progress even when no players are logged in" applies to single-player.
• You may wish to experiment with ore spawn rates. Mystical World ores are prioritised, followed by Silent's Mechanisms, followed by any other overlapping ores. Create's ores have been replaced with Mystical World & Silent's Mechanisms. Compacted Ores is a part of the pack, and you may want to adjust the frequency of compacted ores spawning, along with the minimum/maximum values.
• A default data pack recipe is included for Quark chests (as these are disabled in the configuration). You may wish to add your own additions or use CraftTweaker, or enable the chest etc variants.
• A default data pack recipe is included for Heart of the Sea, as it is otherwise a difficult-to-obtain item. (Lootr improves this). Likewise, there's a quick recipe to produce Coal Dust via the Grindr grindstones.
• Grindr Grindstone values have not been properly updated to reflect the actual scarcity of materials: bismuth is a regularly common ore in this iteration, whereas it was quite rare on the previous one. Thus, it is quite slow (and will likely be made slower), but guarantees triple output and has a chance to quadruple.
• Iron Jetpacks have been modified to have less sideways velocity in order to reduce nausea, etc.
• Default groups have been included for Ore Excavation for each of the ores and compacted ores that are available.
• Spice of Life: Carrot Edition has been configured to award an addition heart for every 5 new meals eaten. By default, the pack has 143 unique eligible foods, so there are a potential of 28 additional hearts. You may wish to reduce this by making the increments 10 foods instead of 5, meaning that there's only a chance of 14 additional foods.
• Trample-stopper is enabled by default. If you hate yourself and enjoy having your farmland trample, feel free to reinstall it.
• Walljump is in "infinite" mode by default, allowing you to continue jumping after the first jump. If you find this too powerful, you should disable it.
• Upsizer is included but will cause problems when eating stacked mushroom soups, etc.
• Reliquary's items have been configured to have higher upper limits on the amount that can be stored in them.
• Lootr ensures that every player opening a loot chest will get loot out of it by providing them with a personal, instanced version of the chest loot, completely different from everyone else's and completely personal. If you want people to get identical loot, you can change the configuration to ensure that the same seed is used for every chest.
• If you are having problems with your server, I recommend Spark, although it may take you a little while to find the 1.14.4 download. They have a guide on their Wiki that explains how to profile effectively using this tool.
• If you have difficulties getting a server running, please check that the allocated memory isn't too low (or too high), and ensure that you're using the latest possible version of Forge for 1.14.4.
