Hollow Spiral
Hollow Spiral is an endless procedural survival dungeon built using the Decisions and Impulses (DAI) engine.
You begin inside a single room suspended in a void.
From there, the Spiral can grow in six directions:
- North
- South
- East
- West
- Up
- Down
Every location is generated only once. Once a room has been discovered, it becomes a permanent part of your world.
There is no final floor.
There is no fixed progression path.
Survival is the progression.
Explore outward, gather resources, establish routes, discover useful rooms, survive hostile environments, and slowly transform an empty void into an enormous interconnected dungeon.
Procedural Exploration
The Spiral can generate a wide variety of environments and encounters, including:
- Siege-damaged ruins
- Carrot and wheat farms
- Multiple tree-grove biomes
- Ten-grade depth mines
- Lush caves
- Animal pens
- Randomized crypt rituals
- Libraries and enchanting rooms
- Smithery rooms
- Tiny villages
- Flooded ocean environments
- Castle variants
- Witch-occupied caverns
- Volcano rooms
- Nether wastes
- Nether fortresses
- Deep Dark encounters
- Rare End relics
Horizontal paths can reconnect with previously discovered rooms, while vertical stair systems allow the dungeon to continue growing upward and downward.
Permanent World Generation
Hollow Spiral is not a traditional roguelike where the dungeon resets after every attempt.
Every generated room stays.
Every route you discover matters.
Every resource source becomes part of your expanding world.
Over time, the Spiral becomes a unique survival map created through your own exploration.
Custom Presentation
Hollow Spiral includes its own DAI-powered presentation systems, including:
- Dedicated Hollow Spiral title screen
- Expedition save browser
- Native void-world generation
- Custom loading presentation
- Experience-specific controls and menus
- Automatic world setup
- Persistent progression
The included companion Resource Pack gives Hollow Spiral its industrial, decayed, cyber-ruin visual identity while intentionally preserving normal Minecraft item and mob presentation.
