# Mythforge: Beyond the Horizon

**Build a ship. Leave the ground. Find out what's up there.**

Mythforge is a 350+ mod adventure and technology pack for Minecraft 1.21.1, built around
**Create: Aeronautics** — real physics-driven airships that have mass, momentum and centre of
gravity, and will fall out of the sky if you build them badly.

Everything else in the pack is arranged around getting you airborne and giving you somewhere
worth flying to.

## What you're getting

### Airships that actually fly

Create: Aeronautics turns a contraption into a genuine moving world with its own physics. Build a
hull, mount a propeller bearing, work out your lift, and take off. Then work out why you're
listing to port.

A dozen Aeronautics addons extend it: flight control blocks, gyroscopic stabilisers, variable-pitch
propellers, joystick control, and **recorded cargo routes** so a finished ship can fly supply runs
between your bases while you do something else.

### A 177-quest progression, not a mod list

Twelve chapters that take you from punching your first tree to killing things that deserve their
own boss bar:

- **Getting Started** — ordinary survival, with the pack's tools explained
- **Create: First Machines** → **Create: Industry** — rotation, processing, brass, steam, rail
- **Taking Flight** — the centrepiece, step by step
- **The Arcane** — Ars Nouveau and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, and how they connect
- **RPG Classes** — archers, paladins, rogues, wizards, berserkers
- **Industry** — Applied Energistics, PneumaticCraft, Industrial Foregoing
- **Trials of Mythforge** — a 28-quest boss ladder
- **Dragons** — Ice and Fire, from hatchling to world-ender
- **Exploration** — the rebuilt world and how to find your way around it

The three path chapters are **alternatives, not a sequence**. Pick what appeals.

### Bosses worth the fight

A ranked boss ladder from your first Amethyst Crab to the Leviathan, taking in **L_Ender's
Cataclysm** (with Cinematic Cataclysm's intro cutscenes), **Bosses of Mass Destruction**,
**Mowzie's Mobs**, **Mine Cells** and **Ice and Fire**. End Remastered replaces the twelve-eye
portal with a genuine hunt.

### A world rebuilt

YUNG's overhauls every vanilla structure. Integrated Dungeons and Structures, Towns and Towers and
Moog's add hundreds more. Alex's Caves puts entire themed biomes underground. Regions Unexplored
and Tectonic reshape the surface.

## Tuned, not just assembled

This pack has been profiled and audited rather than thrown together:

- **Runs on 8 GB.** Garbage collection was measured and retuned — worst-case tick time came down
  from 3.4 seconds to under 900 ms.
- **Ships with fixed mod bugs.** Several mods ship broken data files; a bundled datapack repairs
  them, including two that were silently making airship hulls a hundred times heavier than
  intended.
- **Sane defaults.** Render distance, JVM arguments and config tuning are set from actual
  profiling, not guesswork.
