A Modification of Musketeer with Muskets and More
MusketCraft is a modified version of Vazkii's Modpack Musketeer. It has basically all the same features, with lots of small changes and additions. At the bottom of the page, you can find a list summarizing the changes.
How to Play:
- Tutorial Menu: A tutorial menu is accessible from the main menu and pause menu. Check it out! It's a nice reference for some need-to-know controls and interfaces
- EMI. This mod provides a recipe index, a recipe book, recipe viewing history, recipe tree viewer, and some other small but useful features that makes understanding all the game's systems much easier. All of the features are accessible from the inventory. Check out the in-game tutorial for more information.
- 101. Search "101" in the EMI search to see a list of items that can be very useful to you. If you click an item in this list, click on the book and quill icon at the top to see some extra information about it.
- Variant Selector. You do not need to craft slabs, stairs, fences, carpets, etc. anymore. Instead, press R when holding a block and you can see block shape variants.
- Screenshots. When you take a screenshot, it's copied to your clipboard. Additionally, you automatically take a screenshot whenever you get an advancement. You can view your screenshots in-game from the pause menu.
Progression
This modpack does not have much progression. However, there are items you should acquire and resources you should farm. You should make sure to have...
For Your Travels...
- A sleeping bag. This allows you to sleep without resetting your respawn point
- A compass. This is the only way to see coordinates
- A player tracking compass. Helps you find fellow players
- A recovery compass. This device points to your last death point. It also does not drop on death.
- Lodestones. Use compasses on these to make them always point to the lodestone
- An atlas. This is your world map as an item. You can merge and copy it with other maps
- A saddle. You can craft this now. You can set tamed horses to be your personal horse and summon them anywhere in the world.
- A ship. These large boats can hold a lot of people, items, and cannons. They go pretty fast, too
- Turbo and Reinforced Rails. These are the fastest mode of transport. Get some amethyst, gold, and iron to make a ton of them.
- A camera. You never know what cool vistas or structures you'll find out there. Be ready to capture the moment!
- A backpack. This is the best form of mobile storage you'll find.
For Your Base...
- An anvil. Some enchantments are craftable. You can combine enchanted books of the same level to get the next level enchantment.
- A kiln, a blast furnace, and a smoker. These are specialty smelters, smelting things they are meant for much faster than a normal furnace.
- A sawmill and a stonecutter. Extremely useful for making variant decoration blocks such as stone block variants and connected glass.
- Storage Crates. The perfect junk drawer. Stores 640 items, nevermind stacks.
- Storage Vaults. The best way to store a lot of one thing. Holds 32 stacks of one item, and retains its contents when broken.
For Your Farm...
- Sugar Cane. Sugar and Paper are extremely useful in this modpack
- Hemp. Great source of string and the main source of rope
- Glowberries. Used for potion-making, glowstone, and very good food
- Wild berries. Used for making Wild Berry Wine, a reliable drink giving regeneration.
- Jungle Trees. These drop Bananas, which is used for a number of useful foods, notably the Golden Banana, which is like a Golden Apple, but gives Haste instead of Absorption.
- Apple Trees. For golden apples. duh.
- Ancient Trees. Used to make very pretty wood and Ancient Mix, which is used for lingering potions. You can find the saplings in Ancient Cities
- Feeding Trough. An extremely handy block which you can stock with animal food and your animals will eat it and breed automatically
