Description
Create and Dragons (CaD) is a made to be approachable, not trivial, where questing modpack where you build a colony, learn automation, explore dungeons, face dragons, cook varied meals, decorate cozy homes, and progress from simple survival to advanced technology and space through a guided questbook.
- Build your colony
- Automate
- Explore the world and dungeons
- Cook, decorate, farm and grow
- Progress into advanced technology without being punished like a hardcore expert pack.
When I say it is not a hardcore expert pack, I mean it is also not a free creative sandbox: progression matters, tools matter, quests matter, and machines matter - but the pack is designed to be readable, fair, and playable as a team.
- Survival basics
- Minecolonies setup
- Tool progression
- Food and farming
- Create machines
- Exploration
- Storage
- Power
- Advanced technology
- Bosses
- Space
- Automation
- Bosses, dungeons and exploration
- Food, farming
- SilentGear tools and progression
- Advanced machines and storage
- Space
For all. Or maybe it is simply for you if you want:
- a modpack to play with friends, family, with children or parents
- a clear questbook but freedom too
- automation without expert-pack suffering
- cozy colony building
- fun and fantasy adventure
- food, decoration, and base-building content
- a long-term progression path
- multiplayer-friendly gameplay
- late-game technology and space goals
This pack is probably not for you if you want:
- brutal expert recipes
- hardcore survival punishment
- endless grind for the sake of grind
- a pure kitchen-sink pack with no direction
- instant access to every machine and dimension
The pack is intended to be:
- guided, but not restrictive
- adventurous, but not cruel
- playful, but not childish
- challenging, but not punishing
- good for small family servers
- readable for players who do not already know every mod
Create and Dragons works best as a small team pack, if you want to play solo, that's ok too.
As family, Create and Dragons is made for shared play. For example :
One player or team can build, organize storage, manage the colony, and help with machines.
Another player or team can explore, collect food, decorate, discover quests, fight monsters, and help the colony grow.
Suggested family roles:
- The Builder — houses, roads, colony layout, decoration
- The Engineer — Create machines, power, automation
- The Explorer — dungeons, maps, structures, loot
- The Farmer/Cook — crops, meals, kitchens, food bonuses
- The Gearsmith — Silent Gear tools, armor, mining tiers
- The Scientist — Mekanism, AE2, reactors, space tech
You do not need to follow these playstyle roles.
The mods aren't simply installed side by side, but they are cherry picked among trendy and well used mods. There is also a lot of tweaking to bring you more qualitative content. and even some unique content has been created for this modpack. Recipes, resources, tools and technologies are connected into one long journey.
The pack is built around:
- Create
- MineColonies
- Silent Gear custom mining
- Mekanism
- Applied Energistics 2
- Many QOL, food, decoration, performance and UI mods
- KubeJS custom progression
Recommended memory:
- Minimum: 6 GB RAM allocated
- Recommended: 8 GB RAM allocated
- For servers: depends on player count, view distance, pregeneration, and colony size
- You need Java.
The pack includes performance and quality-of-life mods, but it is still a large modded experience. Lower-end machines may need reduced render distance and shaders disabled.
Create and Dragons is designed to work well on small family servers.
Server play is recommended if you want a shared colony, shared machines, shared exploration, and long-term progression together.
A server pack is available for supported releases.
