Description
Prepare yourself for a grand adventure to defeat an even grander adversary. Beginning in the Twilight Forest, flee from the Wither Storm, scavenging for essential supplies and unique gear while the beast relentlessly chases and destroys anything in its path. Explorer's Eve uses a custom-made datapack with over 1000 functions to give the Wither Storm new abilities, add music throughout the adventure, enhance every single boss fight with unique twists, overhaul typical progression, and more.
Key ingredients to defeat the Wither Storm are only found in certain structures scattered across multiple worlds. You might scour the Aether for armor imbued with the power of flight, or you may square off against the champion of the Twilight Forest atop the white castle. You could use the Nether's greatest treasure to call forth a deadly machine, or you might pursue an Illager mage through an abandoned portal to a realm where the sun stands still. As you travel, you'll find 50 unbreakable treasures that provide all sorts of benefits and abilities. But never forget: Wherever you go, the Wither Storm is sure to follow, and should it ever catch up, you'll be lucky to escape its wrath. And once it finally falls, a completely unique true final battle awaits as a capstone to the entire journey...
Expect to die as you venture forth into varied locales, whether you've seen them before or not. Many changes have been made to facilitate respawning, including corpses to preserve dropped items, a tweak to beds to keep their spawn points even when broken, and a death mercy system for the Wither Storm to take off some pressure after a tragedy. Explorer's Eve also adds a menu guide to provide advice if needed and help players adjust to the progression changes.
Performance issues or problems with chunks not rendering? Try downloading Rubidium-Aether Chunk Fix from Modrinth! Regular Rubidium for 1.19.4 has some bugs, but this fork fixes them.
Speaking of Aether, do not update it. Yes, it's on an outdated version. This is to prevent a major crash and doesn't significantly affect gameplay.
Explorer's Eve is incompatible with Lootr and Essential. Please do not add these mods; unexpected behavior will occur.
Note that Explorer's Eve uses a built-in resource pack for custom features, and as such, languages other than en_us will display certain things incorrectly.
