Yellorium or Uranium? – Smelting Control
Take control of your Yellorium! Choose whether your Yellorite produces Yellorium Ingots or Uranium Ingots with a simple in-game setting.
Why was this mod created?
If you play Minecraft with Extreme Reactors, Almost Unified, and other technology mods, you may have encountered a frustrating problem.
You mine Yellorite Ore, collect Raw Yellorium, and smelt it expecting to receive a Yellorium Ingot. Instead, your furnace produces Uranium Ingots from another mod, such as Mekanism or Immersive Engineering.
Why does this happen?
Extreme Reactors registers Yellorium materials under shared uranium tags for compatibility with other mods.
Almost Unified uses shared material tags to unify resources and recipes across different mods. While this is useful for reducing duplicate materials, it can also cause Yellorium smelting recipes to produce Uranium Ingots instead.
This can be inconvenient when you specifically want Extreme Reactors' original Yellorium Ingots.
Yellorium Control was created to give that choice back to the player.
What does Yellorium Control do?
This lightweight compatibility mod adds a simple configuration option that lets you choose the output when smelting Yellorium materials.
Option 1: Yellorium (Default)
-
Raw Yellorium produces Extreme Reactors' Yellorium Ingots.
-
Works with regular Furnaces and Blast Furnaces.
-
Protects the relevant Extreme Reactors recipes from unwanted uranium unification.
-
Automatically manages the necessary Almost Unified recipe exclusions.
Option 2: Uranium
-
Restores normal Almost Unified uranium unification behavior.
-
Raw Yellorium produces the Uranium Ingot preferred by your modpack's Almost Unified configuration.
-
In our development tests, this produced Mekanism Uranium Ingots.
-
Allows players and modpack creators to retain their preferred unified uranium system.
No manual JSON editing is required.
The mod automatically manages its recipe exclusions while preserving unrelated Almost Unified settings.
How to configure
-
Save and exit your Minecraft world.
-
Open the Mods menu.

Tested compatibility — competing uranium recipes
One important recommendation: when you're setting up your CurseForge project's Relations / Dependencies, mark Extreme Reactors and Almost Unified as required dependencies. Mekanism and Immersive Engineering should be listed as tested compatible mods rather than required dependencies.
