Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Wrights 0.2.0
The biggest update yet: wrights now have parts, wrightports run on Forge Energy, and every wrightport gets its own hangar.
⚠️ Upgrading from 0.1.8
- The old Speed and Operations upgrades are replaced by wright parts. Existing upgrade items turn into the matching Rotor Assembly or Fabricator Head.
- Wrightports now run on Forge Energy. A newly placed wrightport starts empty, so charge it before its first job. Server owners can turn energy off in
wrights-server.toml. - Manage left the controller's mode scroll. Press B to open it from the menu.
✨ New Features
Wright Parts
- Every wright has three slots:
- Rotor Assembly: flight speed, from 5 blocks/s up to 55 blocks/s.
- Fabricator Head: actions per tick and reach, from 1 action on its own cell up to 19 actions across a 3×3×3.
- Power Core: energy efficiency, down to half cost.
- Five tiers: Scout, Ranger, Vector, Tempest, and Apex, each with its own colour.
- Fitted parts show on the flying wright and on its item icon.
- Wright items keep their parts. Right-click a part onto a wright item to fit it, and hover a wright to see its speed, actions, and energy per action.
Forge Energy
- Every block a wright places, mines, swaps, or voids costs FE from the wrightport that launched it.
- A placed wrightport holds 1,000,000 FE and takes power from cables on either half.
- A personal wrightport draws from the batteries you carry, and fills from wireless chargers such as Mekanism's chargepad.
- Six charge bars fill and turn red, yellow, then green on both wrightports and their items. Jade shows the exact FE.
Hangar
- Right-click a personal wrightport (from your hand, inventory, or Curios) or a placed wrightport to open its hangar: ten bays, three part slots, and your inventory below.
- Click an empty bay to add 1–10 wrights, or All that fit, from your inventory or a linked network, with an option to craft them.
- Shift-click or drag wrights and parts in from your inventory. Right-click a wright to take it out.
- Click an empty part slot to fit the best tier you have. Click a fitted slot to take the part out.
- Mark several wrights and use Upgrade marked to set tiers, upgrade everything to the best parts on hand (optionally crafting from digital storage), or strip all parts.
- A coloured tip strip confirms every change: green for adding, orange for removing, red for warnings.
- JEI sits right beside the hangar.
- New wrights fly in from the sky and dock through a spiral iris hatch. Watch docking switches to third-person while they land.
Jobs & Crews
- Stall notices: when a job runs out of items or energy, a toast says why and how many wrights flew home. The job shows Stalled · missing items or Stalled · no energy, then resumes on its own.
- Jobs History window: a scrollable log with size, blocks, duration, anchor, and start and queue details.
- − / + on job cards change how many wrights a job may use.
- Personal crews dock home when you fly out of range, and rejoin the job when you come back.
- Manage lists each wrightport's wrights with their parts and status, and has Send home.
More
- Placed wrightports get Boundary and Bind Chest buttons. Personal wrightports get a Boundary toggle that shows your wrights' reach.
- Shape Square and Box get Equal sides. Exchange Circle gets a Floor / Wall mount.
- Options: minimum Job done toast length, and Watch docking.
- Help rewritten, with new pages for Wrights at work, Wrightports, Hangar, Parts & tiers, and Energy.
🔧 Changes
- Every model is rebuilt in a 3D drone-part style. The placed wrightport is now a two-block tower.
- B opens the menu on the page for your current controller mode.
- The controller remembers its last mode and tool across restarts and hotbar swaps.
- Round shapes are sized by Diameter instead of radius.
- Place, Mirror, Shape, and Exchange only arm from Build, so browsing their pages no longer changes your mode.
- A Need setup banner shows when a mode is missing a vital option.
- Wrights from a placed wrightport take blocks from that wrightport's chest and network instead of your inventory.
- GUIs shrink at high GUI scales, and long tooltips wrap.
⚡ Optimizations
- Wrights work from a hover point and handle a whole burst of nearby blocks at once, instead of flying to every block. This applies to paste, mine, undo, Shape, Exchange, and Place.
- Small shapes use predefined stands: a sphere is one hover, a 6×6 floor is four.
- Big jobs split into shares, and wrights that finish help the busiest share, so crews finish together.
- Large Shape crews no longer pile onto one cell.
- Exchange skips launching when nothing needs to change.
- Server caches clear between worlds, and wrightport scans are throttled.
🐛 Fixes
- The shared blueprint library saves safely with a backup, and no longer overwrites blueprints saved by another Minecraft instance.
- AE2 / RS craft state resets between worlds.
- A job that runs out of items no longer shows Running with 0 wrights, and no wrights freeze mid-build.
- Idle wrights fly home instead of searching forever.
- The last few shape blocks always finish.
- Exchange Wall boxes stand upright. Wall circles and short beams no longer misbehave at the end.
- Hanging sand stays put during blueprint undo.
- Highlighting a huge job no longer washes out the view.
- Adding wrights no longer pulls wrights off running Shape jobs.
- The B menu stays open when Resume re-arms the last build.
- The wrightport is pickaxe-mineable and keeps its wrights, name, and energy when broken.
