Swords and Magic and Bows! Oh My! This mod adds various wacky and even serious weapons good for combat, exploration, or even collections.

 

 

Updates for bug fixes, balances, and version ports can still happen.

 

OK, so there is a BIG difference in the features between 1.20.1 and 1.21.1.

 

Certain weapons can be found in vanilla structures in 1.20.1 and in 1.21.1 all the weapons are mostly found in custom structures or hidden cleverly.

 

Wither's Weapons adds a lot of weapons:

 

Electrumight: A sword composed of immense divine light that can vanquish dark monsters in several hits. Its extra damage to mobs is controlled through the tag :electrumight_weak_mobs

 

Darkstar and Morningstar: Maces that do high knockback to groups of enemies, the ability will only activate when grounded or on horse back

 

Megaton Hand Mace: A very heavy hand mace that can send you flying upward if you have them equipped in both hands. When you come back down and land a successful hit you deal damage to surrounding enemies.

 

Harvest Scythe: A scythe good for farming both souls and crops. This scythe can heal 2 hearts on kills and give you a small percent of your health when you use the projectile on an enemy.

 

 Valorin-  A very powerful sword that has been dormant for eons, legends say it is the physical manifestation of the Nether itself.
Valorin can be activated with a nether star and some dragon breath to gain its true power.

 

Valorin's true form is a blade of no mercy, it is relentless in its goal. The sword when powered gains an extra attack damage point and the ability to shoot shadow fireballs that explode into a withering cloud that last a couple of seconds. When you wield this sword you are immune to Wither.

 

Prime Axe Staff- Axe-headed staff that allows you to jump higher when held in hand or offhand. Jump boost 4

 

Blade of Stone- A very polished heavy stone sword that is the manifestation of the Earth. Use it as a shield- 1.18: stronghold crossing, 1.19:  jungle temple

 

Eldingain- The manifestation of lightning itself. Very fast attacking weapon and lights enemies on fire for 4 seconds.

Frost-Rend- a powerful ice axe that can summon ancient ice fangs like an evoker.

Phoenix Blade- Hits done with this weapon inflict the seared debuff reducing armor and giving enemies a burn that ticks at least twice, faster burn ticks for higher levels of the effect.

Aquaslash- A strong aqueous blade that is the manifestation of the tides. High knockback and pushes enemies into the air for a bit. Its extra damage to mobs is controlled through the tag :aquaslash_weak_mobs

Gumdropper: A very silly mace weapon that gives you a bit of a jump boost. It's just an upgrade to the mace.

 

 

Brimwrought, Sulfur, and Brimrack:

Brimrack spawns in the Nether near the lava lakes.

Brimwrought spawns rarely in the Nether and can be mined with diamond, but can only be made from netherite gear.

Sulfur spawns in the nether's brimrack.

Brimwrought can be used to make fire and knockback resistant Scarlet armor.

 

Functional Weapon Variants:

 

Laser Eye Staff: fast magic staff that doesn't use ammo

Primed Skull: Morningstar but deals 1 extra damage

The Mech Worm: Ancient Stone Greatsword but gives +4 armor instead of +2

Dark Megaton Hand Mace: Launches you really high into the air, landing a hit before you fall will damage enemies around the area. It also has increased knockback and damage.

Soulmorne: Even hotter phoenix blades with a seared level of 2 and +1 attack.

Redsteel and Bluesteel Eldingain: +2 attack from the original eldingain

Frostslash: Upgrade to aquaslash that does less knockback, but freezes enemies.

Dark Prince's Mace: Increased AOE damage (even more than the Morningstar and primed skull)

Turkey Leg: Recovers hunger

Syringe: Recovers Health, and poisons enemies.

 

 

 

End game swords:

 

Scarlet Demise- The Father of the Four Swords. Some say this weapon has the ability to cure illness when wielded. The magic in this sword is unlike anything you have ever seen. Can cast an afterimage of the sword that does magic damage.

(this sword's projectile is a bit weird)

 

Violet Demise- The Mother of the four swords. The sword deals melee damage and has no ranged attack. 

 

Magentaslash- The true form and son of both Scarlet and Violet Demise. Capable of strong melee and strong magic damage.  Can cast an afterimage of the sword that does magic damage.

 

Mortuth: Heals you on kills and shoots a orb of darkness that withers enemies.

Vitali: Heals you at the cost of hunger

 

Ranged:

 

Diablow-  A fiery bow of misfortune that has an explosive attitude. Its arrows are fiery and explosive, however the explosion has the same functionality as a wind charge.

 

The Echo- This eldritch bone scepter can produce the same energy the warden shoots from its chest. Craft echo charges from Echo Shards to use this weapon.

(Notice that the damage source from the staff isn't the same as the warden because the damage the sonic booms use is able to go through enchantments and shields. The staff just uses magic damage for balance purposes.)

 

Some swords have projectiles

 

Part of the fun is to search the world and find the swords yourself, but if you want to know where to find them there is information below.

 

Ancient Stone Greatsword can be found in Jungle Temples  (1.4.3 below)

As of 1.4.4 the Greatsword can only be found in Stronghold Corridor chests.

 

Valorin can be found in Bastions(1.20.1) OR  Wither Trials (1.21.1)

Aquaslash can be found in Buried Treasure Chests

Eldingain's 4 lightning fragments are found in Desert Pyramids(1.20.1) OR Storm Forts(1.21.1)

The Echo Staff can be found in Deep Dark Chests or crafted.

Harvest Scythe can be found in Wither Trials(1.21.1)

Megaton Hand Mace can be found rarely in Storm Forts(1.21.1)

Gummer can be crafted

Diablow can be found in Storm Forts(1.21.1)

Darkstar can be found in Woodland Mansions(1.20.1 -&- 1.21.1)

Scarlet Demise can be crafted

Violet Demise is crafted

Magentaslash is crafted

Hi there!

I do understand the mod can be kind of overpowered in some ways. I recommend the mod https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/property-modifier as Wither's Weapons doesn't have a config.

Property Modifier has a very highly customizable config and works well with the weapons in the mod.

Be aware that weapons like Diablow and Echo Staff may not be changed through property modifier because of their hardcoded projectile values. Same goes with the swords that have projectiles.

 

 

Trivia:

The Prime Axe Staff is a reference to the staff the Night Witch holds in the mobile game Clash Royale.

Valorin is the first weapon concept inspired by one of my friends.

All of the prime weapons are a reference to Terraria, with the one exception being the prime axe staff.
