🏛️ Structures

• Huge new Abandoned Zoo. It used to have 3 small cages. Now it’s about 49×41 blocks, inside a crumbling wall with an entrance gate:
  • 8 enclosures: a savanna paddock for elephants or giraffes, a penguin pool for penguins, seals or sea otters, a glass-roofed aviary for macaws or toucans, and 5 big cages with old trees to climb
  • 2–3 animals in every enclosure, sometimes with a baby
  • a dried-up fountain in the middle, plus lamp posts and benches along the paths
  • 2 chests: one in the ticket booth by the gate, one in the keeper’s shed at the far end
• The Whale Fall comes alive. The sunken skeleton is now a little deep-sea ecosystem:
  • glowing bacteria mats on the sea floor around it
  • coral, sea pickles, glow lichen and tall kelp growing on the bones
  • anglerfish, a gulper eel and jellyfish living there
  • a more broken, half-buried skeleton, so it no longer looks like the beach Whale Skeleton
• Research Outposts are about 4× as common.

🗺️ Structure Maps

• Research Outpost chests: about 1 in 3 now has a map to a Whale Skeleton, Abandoned Zoo, Legend Shrine or Whale Fall.
• The Zoologist sells maps to every structure:
  • Apprentice: Research Outpost
  • Journeyman: Whale Skeleton and Abandoned Zoo
  • Expert: Legend Shrine and Whale Fall
• Other structure chests: Whale Skeleton, Zoo, Shrine and Whale Fall chests sometimes have a Research Outpost Map.

🐾 Animals

• Can no longer be tamed: Great White Shark, Octopus, Poison Dart Frog and Anaconda.
  • Ones you already tamed stay your pets.
  • Their items, like Shark Tooth, Octopus Ink, Frog Toxin and Anaconda Scale, still drop as normal.
• Great White Shark: a shorter, rounder snout, like a real great white. The Megalodon gets it too.
• Gorilla: its body now sits on its legs, with no gap.

🔧 Gear

• Bathysphere: smaller, about 1.1 blocks wide instead of 1.4, so it fits through tighter spaces. The model shrank to match.

🏆 Advancements and Guide

• Zookeeper now asks you to tame the 26 animals that can still be tamed, so it can still be finished.
• The Animal Guide pages are updated for the new zoo, the living Whale Fall, the outpost maps and the untamable animals.

🐛 Fixes

• Whale Skeletons no longer spawn floating on water. They only appear on dry beach sand.
• The Abandoned Zoo, Research Outpost and Legend Shrine also never spawn on water.

Structures only change in parts of the world you haven’t explored yet.
