Description
Where Winds Blow, I'd go with you.

Where Winds Blow is a Vanilla+ atmosphere and foliage overhaul built around a visible, weather-driven wind system. Wind shifts with the biome, weather, altitude, and nearby shelter.
Client-only friendly. Install it on the client for visual wind and weather effects without requiring a server-side installation. For multiplayer with WWB blocks and world generation, install it on the server and connecting clients.

What it adds
- Dynamic wind with smooth direction changes, travelling gust fronts, calm lulls, and turbulence shaped by biomes, weather, altitude, and terrain
- Responsive grass, crops, flowers, and leaves, with local movement from nearby entities, projectiles, lightning, and explosions
- Wind-driven rain and snow, including rain squalls, drifting snowfall, ground-blown spindrift, and whiteout blizzards
- Desert and badlands storms with blowing sand, reduced visibility, and severe thunder-driven dust
- Visible wind streaks, biome-tinted leaves, flower petals, and tumbleweeds that move through the world and react to terrain
- Wind-shaped campfire smoke plus moving banners, hanging signs, lanterns, and chains
- Vanilla+ grass variants and denser biome coverage with softer transitions
- An in-game config and data-driven profiles for foliage, biome wind, and world generation
Every major visual effect can be adjusted or turned off.

Requirements and compatibility
- Made for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge ONLY (don't ask for backports)
- Fabric 1.21.1 is planned with NO time-frame, it will be ported when I want to
- ToucanLib and YetAnotherConfigLib are required
- The standard renderer and Sodium support the complete feature set
- Iris has full support while no shader pack is active
- With an Iris shader pack active, weather, wind streaks, drifting leaves and petals, smoke, banners, signs, world generation, and local foliage interaction remain available. Foliage sway, wind sheen, and lantern or chain sway are disabled to avoid terrain-shader conflicts
- Responsive foliage profiles are included for Bountiful Fares, Farmer's Delight, No Man's Land, Regions Unexplored, and Sweety's Garden
Where Winds Blow is incompatible with Chunks Fade In because both mods alter terrain shader rendering.
See the datapack guide for world generation and biome wind, or the foliage profile guide to add, tune, or exclude swaying blocks.
