Wayfarer's Ledger is a focused exploration mod that rewards travel while staying close to Minecraft's survival rhythm. It adds a personal expedition record, meaningful exploration milestones, a camp-binding system, useful travel food, and a balanced way home—without bringing in a large dependency tree.

BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY

Craft a Wayfarer's Ledger using a book, compass, feather, and leather. Once you own a ledger, your expedition begins:

• New biomes are surveyed automatically.
• Overland distance is recorded per player.
• Six milestones reward committed explorers with experience and emeralds.
• Progress persists through death and works on dedicated servers.

Use the ledger on a lit campfire to record that location as your personal camp. Right-click the ledger at any time to review your journey and camp.

TRAVEL PREPARED

Trail Rations combine familiar survival ingredients into portable food that grants brief Speed and Haste effects—ideal for crossing country or setting up a new outpost.

The late-game Recall Compass returns you to your recorded camp when you are in the same dimension. By default, each recall consumes an ender pearl and has a 90-second cooldown, keeping the tool powerful without trivializing exploration.

MULTIPLAYER READY

All progression and camp locations are stored per player and managed by the server. Wayfarer's Ledger has no library dependencies and is suitable for solo worlds, LAN games, and dedicated NeoForge servers.

Server owners can configure survey frequency, recall cooldown, ender-pearl recall cost, and new-biome notifications in config/wayfarersledger-common.toml.
