VoxelMap is a minimap and worldmap mod that makes a great effort to be accurate to the colors you see in the world (and your resource pack). Display your surroundings, or view the entire (explored) world.
It has useful functionality like per-dimension waypoints, mob icons, teleport to waypoint (if the player has permission), and nether mapping. Optional chunk grid and biome overlay (with biome labels in full screen mode)
Full internationalization support, with many languages included.
Go here https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/voxelmap/files to make sure you get the right version for your version of Minecraft!
1.12.2, 1.13.2, 1.14.4, 1.15.2 and 1.16.1 have Forge releases. Additionally, 1.12.2 and below have versions for Liteloader. 1.13 has a release for Rift. 1.13.2 has a release that should work with this version of Rift. 1.14 through 1.16.1 are also available for Fabric.
VoxelMap can optionally output image files to your drive, to be used with the Voxelmap Image Output Processor. To output images, open voxelmap.properties and add this line: Output Images:true . Then run Minecraft. That line will disappear before your next run,so if you wish to do it again, add the line again

My game crashes on start-up:

The version worked before, I guess the voxelmap data got corrupted on a crash. Is there any way I can delete the data?
In reply to TeaJ4y:
Do a pastebin link of the crash info
may help with pinpointing the issue
have you added anything new to your list of mods for instance?
the newest and constant thing just now is people updating light overlay mod which now needs and uses a new dependency called architectury api which conflicts with voxelmap
In reply to BradW0:
Ah yeah! That's it! I just added Light Overlay. Thank you! I am gonna keep Voxelmap and remove Light Overlay
In reply to TeaJ4y:
You can still use light overlay mod just not the one that needs to use architectury api. Are you using forge or fabric and I’ll point you to the exact mod file . Architectury api is new and conflicts with voxelmap and no doubt a few other mods but older file that’s 16.2+ that doesn’t use that particular api will work
In reply to BradW0:
Ah cool! I am using Fabric.
The mod is good but it has a flaw and that is that when you die the death point does not appear, from version 1.14.4 (I think) onwards the death point stopped appearing, I do not know if it is a failure of the mod or my configuration but I tried but didn't succeed, I'm also sorry if I don't speak English well.
And if I have the option to generate death points activated
In reply to AgenteEmir:
Alguien me ayuda?
In reply to AgenteEmir:
you do have death points activated or not in the voxelmap menu options?
In reply to BradW0:
I have it activated
Is there any way to increase max zoom for the world map?
Trying to look through something like a 10k by 10k area takes forever, not to mention moving a few hundred thousand blocks to look at something on the map really far away.
does anyone know how to give voxelmap the world seed for servers
In reply to jiwastaken_:
You write /seed on the server and copy the seed. Click M to open Voxelmap -> Options -> Details/Performance -> Seed
ctrl+v to paste the seed and then click enter. It's important to click enter for some reason.
However I don't know what this option does? What benefit does Voxelmap have, when it knows the seed?
Edit: The frame drops still happen. So I apologize! The cause probably wasn't Voxelmap.
I love this mod, but currently Voxelmap 1.10.15 for 1.16.5 causes huge frame drops in singleplayer for me. It is some method that is called in the tick method of the server.
When I play on a server I don't get this frame drops. When the frame drop happens the screen freezes for multiple seconds which makes the game unplayable.
The frame drops happen like every 10 seconds.
I had those freezes/frame drops playing on a server as well, but they happend very seldom and I am not sure if they were caused by Voxelmap as well. However I removed Voxelmap from my mods now and I haven't had a single freeze since then.

I am using Fabric btw.
Hi guys, my friend's map keep resetting every time when i reopen my lan game, he has to change the port number in the voxelmap file (points and cache) in order to load the saved map. is there any way to fix this?
In reply to InsaneWing:
The problem for you is that the port is constantly changing each time you host lan so your friend has to keep changing port stuff
so with /publish command ,you need to specify the port number after /publish
otherwise it will always change each time
https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Commands/publish
I believe cheats need to be enabled for this command to set port
Hopefully that helps with your issues
This will keep your friend having to keep tweaking things on his end.
Let me know if that has worked for you.
In reply to BradW0:
Thank you Brad, your method works ( tho i have to went thru NBTexplorer to allowcommand for my world because it was disabled)
However i realized this doesnt 100% fix my problem because my local ip will change whenever i off and on my pc. Therefore my friend still have to change the ip address too before joining. But problem is solved by setting my static ip together with the /publish command.
I am wondering we never have to deal with these issues before the last time we played, my friends can just join directly without touching the file name and the cache and waypoints are still there. Was there some kind of change that cause this? Is this issue permanent?
Edit: Now another issue - how do i enable cheats for my friend if i did /publish ? Seems like im the only one can use cheats / commands
In reply to InsaneWing:
would assume you didn't have cheats enabled when you opened the world for /publish command to have been disabled as it were
but hopefully for this other issue -
On a singleplayer world:
To turn on cheats:
Using the built-in LAN server:
Open to LAN
.Changing your save file:
( make a backup of your world before trying this method, just incase something messes up)
hoping this solves the issue for all players on your lan game next time they join
as you said allowcommand is allow cheats so technically your friends should all be able to use it
In reply to BradW0:
yea i did exactly this but weird, my friend still unable to use any cheats. And i cant click "Open to Lan" since i've used the publish command
Hey, this isn't a request or anything but I was just wondering if there were any plans to release snapshot versions of this for 1.17, whether it be when the updates for snapshots are leaving the creation phase and entering the bugfix stage or if it is just going to be released for 1.17 official release.
