⭐ Villager Trade Favorites & Info

Keep useful villager offers easy to find without replacing or automating vanilla trading.

This lightweight client-side mod adds favorite controls and reliable offer information directly to the existing merchant screen. It does not change prices, villager AI, trade limits, restocking rules, or server balance.

✨ Features

• Add or remove a favorite with a small star beside each visible trade.
• Show favorite offers first while preserving their normal relative order.
• Toggle a favorites-only view from the merchant screen.
• See remaining stock and clear out-of-stock or disabled states.
• View compact profession, level, and conservative restock information when the client can determine it reliably.
• Keep Librarian enchanted-book trades distinct, including books that share the same base item.
• Keep favorites separated by singleplayer world, multiplayer server, and merchant UUID.
• Use the normal vanilla screen, scrolling, selection, trading, and inventory behavior.
• Configure every display feature through a small client-side JSON file.
• Use English or Brazilian Portuguese automatically from the selected game language.

🧭 Reliable trade matching

Favorites are attached to the merchant and the structure of the offer rather than its current emerald price. Demand, reputation, curing discounts, Hero of the Village, and other temporary price changes therefore do not intentionally create a different favorite.

Item identifiers, base ingredients, result data, enchantments, potion data, legacy NBT or modern data components, and stable offer properties are considered. Perfectly identical duplicate offers on the same merchant are kept separate by their occurrence order.

🖥️ Client-side by design

• Install the mod on the client only.
• Multiplayer servers do not need the mod.
• No custom network channel or server handshake is added.
• No required dependencies are added beyond the matching Forge or NeoForge loader.
• No automatic trading, price modification, restock modification, or villager-AI changes are performed.

✅ Supported versions

Fabric and Minecraft 1.21.4 are not supported by this release. Install only the JAR whose Minecraft version and loader match the profile.

📦 Installation

1. Install the supported Forge or NeoForge version for the Minecraft version you use.
2. Download the matching Villager Trade Favorites & Info JAR.
3. Place the JAR in the client profile's mods folder.
4. Start the client. Do not install the mod on a dedicated server.

⚙️ Configuration and saved favorites

The client creates config/villagertradefavorites/config.json. All options default to true:

• highlightFavorites

Close Minecraft before editing the file, then restart the client. Favorites are stored separately in config/villagertradefavorites/favorites.json and are written only when a favorite changes.
