What's new

0.9.0

Grid control

  • Grid Monitor: one click reports the whole cable network (generators, batteries charging or draining, machines by state, tripped breakers, overloaded cables)
  • Charge Controller: a rule block against a battery: a redstone signal below or above 10-90 % charge on Java (start a generator when the battery runs low); on Bedrock it switches the machines touching it directly

Pollution

  • Rain over heavily polluted chunks is acid: crops are set back to seedlings and players out in it without a helmet are poisoned
  • Polluted water kills fish: Fish Farms lose half their catch, four in five where the smog is worst

Bedrock

  • Backpacks: set the bag down to open it, hit it to pack it up with its contents; 27 or 54 slots; upgrade in place
  • Electric Truck: drivable, 27-slot box, battery that drains while driving and charges next to a charger
  • Through Geyser, Bedrock players get a native control panel for machines (on/off, redstone mode, slots)

Other

  • REI support next to JEI
  • The wiki is in English first, with Vietnamese under /vi/

0.8.0 — Factory Age

Exploration

  • Underground labs: a deepslate room 16 blocks down under a wooden hatch, with two chests of rare parts and a zombie spawner
  • Giant ore veins of a single mod ore underground
  • Treasure Maps mark a buried cache 150-300 blocks away, dug in when you come near (X of coarse dirt, dig 3 down)
  • The Survey Compass lists the nearest site of every kind
  • Abandoned ruins are about three times more common

Machines and tools

  • Lightning Collector: 50,000 FE per bolt in thunderstorms
  • Concrete Mixer, 3D Printer (block patterns from plastic), Rail Booster (an FE-powered powered rail)
  • Mining Laser (breaks blocks 32 blocks away) and Engineer's Tablet (reads machine energy)
  • Repair Station and Nutrition Station; Electric Magnet and Electric Recall (teleport home)
  • Armor charge readout on the HUD; five new advancements
  • Mining Charge (blasts out stone and ore, keeps the drops), Trade Terminal (emeralds for parts), Planter

Realism (configurable)

  • Machines wear out (slower, then stop at 100 %) and heat up (shut down at 100 % until cooled); Lubricant Cans and Machine Parts repair, water, ice and coolers keep them cool
  • Cables lose power over distance; a bare cable run at full load burns through; Circuit Breakers trip on overload
  • Mineral Outcrops on the surface hint at ore below; electromagnetic storms make machines glitch
  • World generation is much sparser: ores, oil, ruins and meteorites are rarer and deeper

Transport

  • Electric Truck (drivable, 27-slot box, rechargeable), ore ropeways, train stations with a timetable, tank wagons, pipeline pumps (Java)

Multiblocks

  • Distillation tower (2-5 trays), large blast furnace (3x3x3 refractory shell), nuclear cooling tower, reactor control panel with SCRAM, dam turbine

Progress

  • Delivery contracts, a commodity exchange with supply-and-demand prices, an Ages of Industry advancement tab and feats (Java)

World and people

  • Abandoned industrial towns, ancient mines, giant meteorites, mutated mobs in polluted land
  • Engineer villagers, worker robots and night-time thieves (Java)

Gear

  • Exosuit modules for the electric armor, Ore Beeper, Headlamp, Walkie-Talkie

Mining

  • Auto-pickup: what a broken block drops goes straight into your inventory and stacks with what you carry (Mining Drill 3x3 and Electric Axe too)

Backpacks (Java)

  • Five tiers worn in the chest slot instead of armor: leather 18, iron 27, steel 36, diamond 45, quantum 54 slots; upgrades keep the contents; B opens the worn one

Machines

  • Exact energy and progress tooltips; faces set to Output push products into the next container; every VieTure recipe shows in the recipe book

Minecraft 1.21.11

  • A 1.21.11 build alongside 1.21.8

Java + Bedrock on one server (Geyser)

  • With Geyser-Fabric and Floodgate on the server, Bedrock players join the Java server and see every VieTure block and item: the mod registers them with Geyser from the Bedrock add-on's definitions and sends its resource pack
  • Bedrock players get past Fabric API's registry check, read the mod's messages in English or Vietnamese, and use machines through a chest window with energy on the action bar
  • Geyser for 1.21.8 accepts Bedrock 1.21.90 - 1.21.111 clients

Bedrock 1.21.110 - 26.x

  • The add-on now runs on Bedrock 1.21.110 and every 26.x release (Script API 2.2, custom components v2); a legacy add-on keeps Bedrock 1.21.20 - 1.21.10x working
  • Fixed: creative players no longer use up items on Bedrock
  • Bedrock now has cable loss (bare 0.5 %, insulated 0.2 %, high-voltage 0.05 % per block), bare cables that melt after 30 s over their rating, and circuit breakers that trip after 3 s (right-click to reset)
  • Worker robots and night-time thieves on Bedrock too
